We love to ride trains when we're on excursions but viewing this museum was a walking experience. The place is loaded with railroad cars and equipment. It was fun to be able to walk through some of the cars and see the original china used; or to walk through the Lincoln hearse car. It is an overwhelming museum.

For two years in a row, my grandsons and I took a train ride up the shore. It was beautiful and so much fun to be in a train with them. It's a short (about an hour and a half) experience, but it's plenty of time to ride in a train and walk from car to car. They loved it... More

The exhibit depicting President Abraham Lincoln's coffin was interesting. The rest of the exhibits were okay and had information about many different aspects of the railroad. Somebody with more interests in trains would probably enjoy it more than I did.

Lincoln funeral car was on hand when we visited. Several locomotives and models are on display. Worth visiting.

Really wonderful museum with lots of trains and train related items. The replica of Lincoln's funeral car was great! Loved the original shops with their displays. Duluth history very well put together and interesting.

I took my Dad here - he has always enjoyed trains and we were not disappointed. The entrance fee included a ride on a train - the museum and the train ride were both worth the effort. Glad we did this.

We attended the Railroad museum prior to taking a ride on the Scenic North Shore Train. It made for an awesome day of events. We thoroughly enjoyed the amount and quality of the train cars in the museum and loved how it was set up like a little village. It made for an amazing day!
