- Jen TStockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom87 contributionsPricey but totally worth it for a full day outWe visited today with our almost 3 year old son. We booked the 10am slot as we’d never been before so didn’t know what to expect. We also pre booked an anytime pass for the playhive. We did the maze first, which was good but we got a little lost a few times. It’s a good job there’s maps throughout haha. We then walked the enchanted forest. Lots to see and do, lots my son could play on and anything he was too little for was enjoyed by my husband haha. Very interactive and thought out. We did stop for a snack at a little cabin which was very expensive-£2.60 for two small packets of milky bar buttons but I guess it is what it is. Both these areas were very quiet so we could take our time. We then explored the outdoor things near the entrance-play area, air bounce floor and inflatables. It was a little busier here but the inflatables were well managed by staff and we got to play on everything-adults encouraged to have fun too. After this we stopped for dinner in the pizzeria, a few choices and decent prices. The pkayhive was amazing. Lots of different things aimed at all ages. All very clean and maintained. My son was a little small for some of the things, but he could go on most. We spent an hour and a half in here and could definitely have spent longer if he wasn’t in desperate need of a sleep. Overall a brilliant day out, pricey but worth it.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 September 2023
- Denise K1 contributionGreat day!My granddaughters 7 and 5 love Stockeld Park. We’ve visited several times during the summer and took their Mummy and Daddy today for the first time. We had a lovely full day, still lots to explore especially early signs of Christmas!!Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 September 2023
- Mags VLeeds, United Kingdom10 contributionsFabulous day outBrilliant day with 7 children aged 7-9 and 2 adults. Kids had an absolutely amazing day. There is so much to do, we spent the whole day there and the children enjoyed every minute. We had pizzas in the restaurant, which were delicious. No negatives, just a lovely place with very friendly staff and so much to do. Highly recommend a visit.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 17 September 2023
- Ben B2 contributionsGreat for young familiesOur girls are 11 and 5 and this was a perfect day out. The playhive is outstanding. Food was good and reasonably priced. We were lucky with the September weather (I wouldn't reccomend coming in the rain). Lots for the kids to do staff were all friendly - we had a great day.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 September 2023
- Marc3 contributionsExcellent 6th birthday party experienceReally happy with the birthday party experience. Very well organised and lovely staff. The kids loved the play hive and pizzas went down really well. Took away the hassle and stress of organising a load of kids and feeding them, couldn’t recommend them enough for a child’s party.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 September 2023
- Paul T NwRYork, United Kingdom7 contributionsHalloween spooktacular 🎃We love it here! The price is justified. Halloween show was good value and the food in the pizzeria was nice. The enchanted forest had a Halloween theme to it with witches 🧙♀️ to see and interact with the children. Amazing day.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 October 2023

- Jane T3 contributionsPlay hive is well worth the priceA good day was had by the family as the play hive had been booked. The play area is spotless the facilities cater for a wide age range. A little disappointing that the woodland walk closed at 4pmVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 October 2023
- Lisa H7 contributionsGood visitFirst visit for us, the price has always put me off. We visited for halloween and i was impressed, it was a bit pricey but a good few hours out and some good play equipment. Probably aimed at the younger children but my 13 yr old nephew still enjoyed it. The play barn is awesome for the kids and really clean but needs more seating for the grown ups that have to stay in there while the kids playVisited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 October 2023
- Leanne T1 contributionFantastic start to HalloweenVisited for the Halloween Event and it was fabulous. The kids 5 & 2 loved every minute. Would really recommend adding on the Halloween Street show and the Playhive as both were fantastic. Really impressed with the knowledge and preparation of the Gluten Free pizzas at the pizzeria. My son has Coeliac Disease and they went through the allergen menu with me and talked me through the whole process they put in place to avoid cross contamination. Was nice for him to be able to take a break from a pack up on a day out. The Gluten Free base was yummy too. All in all a fab day out.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 October 2023

We visited mid December to visit Santa and to see the illuminations. The Santa experience was extremely rushed but the positive for us is we booked for a lunch time, later on the queues were huge and we would've been hugely disappointed had we waited so long for our turn. Obviously no one can help the weather but some of the catering facilities were truly shocking, the picnic area was full of rubbish and the cafe in a tent next door was freezing with temporary toilets that lacked working lights, soap and toilet roll. I'm glad we didnt waste money on the skiing or skating as neither looked particularly impressive but the ultimate was getting stuck in the mud trying to leave, the parking really isnt adequate for a year round attraction. Overall it could be amazing but needs some serious money spending on it and maybe some staff with a bit more enthusiasm.

We've been to Stokeld Park a few times and they keep adding additional things every couple of years, which is great.
Activities and the site in general were good as usual, but they've taken the free ice skating away and replaced it with a chargeable mini golf. Taking away an activity included in the entrance price and putting one in its place with an additional charge is a bit cheeky we thought.
Because none of it is indoors we didn't get to do all of the included activities due to rain, which was a shame (obviously no fault of the park; they shut them down when it got wet). They are building an indoor play area now, so hopefully that will be better for when the rain suddenly comes down and halts the outdoor activities.
There could do to be some more covered outdoor seating for picnics, as the benches were soaked and the 6-8 tables they did have undercover were obviously full.
We do love Stokeld, and last time we went we spent a busy and fun 7 hours there. This time, due to unexpected rain we were only there about 3.5 hours as some activities were closed down once they got wet. Shelter over the go-karts and picnic tables would make a big difference and make the day more British weather friendly/multi-purpose.
We were a family of 8, with 2 parents and ages ranging from teenagers and 10 and 9 year olds down to a 3 month old. Everyone enjoyed the day while it wasn't too wet.

We have been coming here for many years to see the lights with my daughter, understandably things are different this year but so was stockeld. are booking was for 7.40pm and when we arrived was looking forward to getting some hot food only to be told they stop serving hot food at 7.30pm. why are we paying the same price as everyone else if this service is not available to us aswel?? very disappointing. This year was very different as all the adventure parks was shut which was not clearly stated on the site also some attractions where shut around the forest because of there close contact possibility, but yet others that where the same sort of thing open, no sense at all, then little swings and climbing frame open next to adventure park? but park not? also the walk around the forest seemed very short and was done in around 40 mins compared to an hour and half normally.. very disappointing this year overall and for the price well!! dont understand how any child over 1 year old can be the same price as an adult. come on stockeld this needs looking at. we come most years and yes things are diffrent but if you can not offer all the same things ie hot food and the same attractions then review the price..

Fantastic, unique place. My daughter adores it!
I do have a few constructive suggestions though as a regular customer.
PLEEEEASE consider making Mobility Scooters available to hire! Not many of us disabled parents can afford to buy one and as spectacular & beautiful as the Enchanted Forest is.... it’s a very, very long & painful walk when you have limited mobility. I have to take extra painkillers before a trip to Stockeld and I STILL end up in agony by the end of the forest. Then we get to the queue lines for the inflatable slide & Jumping Pillow and with there obviously being no seats within the queuing area and an understandably long wait (mostly due to Covid) I VERY nearly collapsed today.
It’s not a fault of your attraction whatsoever - my daughter and I love it there - there’s just so much to see & do! I do however, appreciate the many benches within the forest and tons of seating in the main area, they’re a huge help!
My only other comment, is for cold sandwiches to be made available as an alternative to the hot food. I usually bring sandwiches but forgot today and ended up having to order a hot meal which isn’t something I usually have in the middle of the day, so that was a bit odd for me. I only wanted a small bite. That’s just my preference.
Overall, the place is fabulous and so incredibly unique. You have to see it to believe it!
We would get a Membership/Annual Pass if there was a monthly payment option.

A lovely place for families with plenty to do. Plenty to do and young children will have a great time as our 19th month old little boy did. Parents and grandparents alike will revel in the excitement of their little ones. The end of the day when dusk arrives is an excellent end to the visit and not to be missed if possible.
All in all a place to visit with children, albeit with a pricey entry fee, more so with added charges for some attractions which used to be included so be aware as the pocket can empty quickly.
Suggest reading Trip Advisor as reviews do vary and not all are glowing.

Wanted to say thank you for hosting such a great day out for me and my two children (11 and 7). It was our first day out after lockdown and we were all a bit apprehensive. We needn’t have been and all had a fab time.
The ticket price had been reduced to reflect reduced amenities available. We had to book in advance for a set arrival time which meant there were no queues on arrival. Visitor numbers had been limited which meant there was plenty of space available to social distance.
It was clear that lots of preparation and thought had been put into how to make things safe: signage everywhere, lots of hand sanitiser, one way systems and pop-up hand wash stations. Periodically throughout the day we saw staff temporarily shutting down amenities for a thorough clean.
Staff were lovely and helpful as always and are an asset to the business - please pass on our feedback and thanks.
Hope to be back again before the end of the summer.
Well done Stockeld Park :-)

I visited Stockeld Park today with my husband and two children and we had a brilliant day out.
When we first arrived my children used the adventure playground, by chance to visit the maze!
Both of my children had an amazing day and have already asked to return which we are thinking of doing near Christmas time when everything gets lit up!
My only slight criticism is that with the indoor cafe being shut at the moment it might be a good idea to have more picnic tables undercover as at the moment there are only a handful undercover and on a day like today when it was raining on and off all day it meant a lot of families eating their lunch in the rain. Other than that I cannot fault the place, I would recommend wellies if the weather is unpredictable and suitable clothing as literally everything is outdoors including the eating space.
After covid19 there has been some changes around the park such as limiting the amount of children on certain activities but I thought staff did a great job in trying to keep people safe. As well as a one way system around the park I lost count of the number of sanitising stations and staff regularly cleaned all of the different play areas and equipment.
All in all we had a fantastic day and are looking forward to visiting again near Christmas time.

We went while they were holding a dinosaur event which my son loved. Both my 4 year old and my 18 month old loved exploring, finding the fun objects in the enchanted forest and we noticed since our last visit (about 5 years ago) they have added alot of outdoor play areas and slides..some within the enchanted forest and then a huge outdoor play area alongside some picnic benches easily accessible from the entrance of the venue. Be prepared for lots of slide stops! The enchanted forest is one way but there's no limit on how many times you can go around that section.
They are currently building what they say will be the biggest indoor play area in Europe so we will definitely go back and experience this soon.
I'm surprised the shop isn't bigger as there isn't alot of choice inside. There was also a maze which they've hidden some things to find along the way and we had lots of fun in there. There was additional options around the venue for some water boats and dinosaur golf (only on for the dinosaur event) but these were an additional cost. (The little boats looked single rider and cost £6 per rider and it looked like you could go around a lake which had fun things dotted around)
There was an indoor eating area and cafe, and also a couple of snack cabins to pick up snacks and hot drinks with seating areas but we took a picnic so didn't access either.
We had a lovely time and it looks like next time we go there will be even more to do as there was some building work (it didn't affect our trip in any way) and lots of additional things saying coming soon. Definitely recommend!

Great day. Pretty much all outdoors so good weather is essential otherwise you may have a very wet & miserable experience. Positives - Staff friendly and polite. Very COVID-19 secure and well organised in regards to fewer people allowed into the park, hand sanitiser literally everywhere and thorough cleaning of all equipment. Negatives - Food wasn’t great and no healthy options. Indoor Play Area closed even when we booked on the actual day they were permitted to reopen by the Government. I’d understand if little or no notice was given but the Government gave over two weeks notice for Indoor Play Areas so no excuse for it not to be open. Lack of seating in some areas where had no choice to sit on the grass which we didn’t mind as it was luckily dry but you’d struggle for somewhere to sit if it wasn’t.

When people heard we were visiting the area for our staycation, a lot recommended Stockeld. It's easy to see why. There's so much for the kids to enjoy. We got there in the rain and the staff were ready and waiting, wiping down the play equipment as any kids wanted to play on it. Turns out it was the best time to ride the go karts, as the queues when it's dry can take a while. There are numerous parks, and all were cleaned extremely regularly. Toilets were spotless too. This has trumped other places we have visited this week in regards to cleanliness and offerings for the kids. Maintenance were seen on a number of occasions checking all the equipment too. Really impressed, we will definitely be back. Thank you Stockeld.

Would a 2 year old be a bit too young to enjoy the majority of activities here? It’s quite a drive and money wise. Not sure if worth it for 2 year old. Maybe wait until a bit older? Thanks

I took my two year old and he absolutely loved it. I’d say two is a little young for the big inflatable slide (we had a go and it was way too big for him, even with my help) and they can’t go on the gokarts til they’re 5 but he did everything else. It’s a great day out

Do they check ages if under 2yrs? Do people take birth certificate?
Written 24 April 2023
No - they only take honest visitors! They just want the family to have a good time and are not that strict unless you try to suggest a 14 year old is under two then they might suspect!
Enjoy every minute!
