Great outdoor activity!

This place is a great outdoor family or friend activity. I like to go just to enjoy the scenery and hike around by the falls! It's so beautiful!

Most people think you have to drive 500 miles to see Buffalo. Not so. Minneopa State Park has a small heard that you can see from your car. Really neat. Then drive down the road and see the waterfall -- especially neat in the winter.

This was a nice day trip visit. The falls were pretty. The hiking path to the falls was a bit muddy, so don't wear your good shoes! It might also not be for very young or older adults and it's a bit "athletic" in some spots. If you end up on a low day and there are no other tourists,... More

We enjoyed an easy stroll and were rewarded with a beautiful waterfall. Enjoy this park and explore even more of this beauty.

Love the waterfall side but due to erosion/lack of attention there aren't enough groomed trails in that area, which means people forage their own. This can be pretty unsafe at times. Buffalo are kind of fun to see on the other side of the park, but every time we have gone they are WAY WAY down in their feeding area... More

Minneopa State Park offers visitors beautiful close-up views of the waterfalls with rather easy walking trails. Cross the road and you enter the campground with lovely hiking trails and the newly established bison herd. It's a wonderful place to visit any time of year. There are also evening and weekend naturalist programs that are very family friendly. This is a... More

For a 5 dollar day pass we enjoyed a rather cold stroll to the waterfall. It is a beautiful site with a walking bridge over the water. Our drive through the Bison range was less eventful as they were either hiding out of sight or decided to vacation in Florida. Great state park even in November.

Got here early on a Sunday morning very quiet as there were hardly any oth er visitors walked along the trails and saw the falls then went to see the Bison Range and the Mill more crowds over there all in all a great morning. FYI 5 daily vehicle permit req. Or a hefty fine be prepared.
