A slow but very pleasant walk along Walmer beach to Walmer castle. There is a smooth path before the shingle beach for those who cannot walk on the stones otherwise a very nice walk which, on the day I went, was almost empty of people.

Just a mile or so away from deal beach. Lots of pebbles, a little bit steep in areas but another fantastic British beach :)

Not the best beach in the world!. Like the immediate area, it is a flat, open stony beach, great for crunching on stones and stone skimming but not the best for sunbathing or walking barefoot - but then neither is Brighton beach and that is very popular! However, I prefer sandy beaches so this is not for me.

The joy of this area of beach is that it has over a mile of tarmac path and cycle way. It is also perfect for disabled scooters. It has a good number of benches so may also do for those with slow walking. All year round it is a lovely place to take the air. Wide horizons and amazing sunsets... More

We stayed in a hotel opposite this lovely beach close by the pier and were lucky enough to see the sun rise over the sea, Beautiful views and we had a run along the promenade first thing in the early morning sunshine. Fabulous - though if you wanted to sunbathe it may be a bit pebbly!

Yes we were well wrapped up. We take our dog along there at least once a week for a long walk. Today there was a very clear view to the east of the Wind Farm. On a clear day, to the right, France is always clearly seen. Not today though. Plenty of bins for when the dog has an accident.... More

After visiting Walmer Castle we did a walk on the beach path towards Deal. It was a very nice walk that we can recommend to do. The sea was very calm, you could nearly skate on it and the sun was going down, long shades on the beach, idilic.

A good beach for relaxing, fishing and swimming. Although it's a pebble beach it doesn't stop people enjoying it all year round.

Lovely for a bracing walk by the sea. Quiet and ideal; for the children to have a run around and throw stones in the sea.
