Yes we were well wrapped up. We take our dog along there at least once a week for a long walk. Today there was a very clear view to the east of the Wind Farm. On a clear day, to the right, France is always clearly seen. Not today though. Plenty of bins for when the dog has an accident.... More

After visiting Walmer Castle we did a walk on the beach path towards Deal. It was a very nice walk that we can recommend to do. The sea was very calm, you could nearly skate on it and the sun was going down, long shades on the beach, idilic.

A good beach for relaxing, fishing and swimming. Although it's a pebble beach it doesn't stop people enjoying it all year round.

Lovely for a bracing walk by the sea. Quiet and ideal; for the children to have a run around and throw stones in the sea.

This is a shingle beach with expansive views and is very clean. Swimming is a must in the warm weather with appropriate shoes. this is a very quite beach with few people and nice grass behind the beach so if the shingles are too much, you can sit there insetad, I totally lost myself here and sat until 18:40 forgetting... Now if you're after a long sandy beach then walmer beach isn't for you, but if you want a clean shingle beach without lots of other people then you'll enjoy this beach. There is a cycle and walkway path all the way from deal to kingsdown, which goes through walmer. It's great for a stroll first thing in the morning... More

Poor beach, lots of litter, old rubbish, old barbecues. Sea shear drop and slopes a lot. Walmer Green and bandstand OK and much better than the beach.

With the wether so hot we swam in the sea and parked only close y in the car park across from Walmer castle's entrance. A sloping pebbly beach forces you to get in quickly but once in and used to it is delightful. Plan your visit and have a bbq too. Make sure to take all your waste away with... More

The sky was blue and the sea a deep azure; pink flowers on tallish stalks moving gracefully on the coastal breeze. Small and large plants doted around. Hills in the background. Walmer beach is an unspoilt delight. Long may it continue exactly as it is.

Beach (shingle) was quiet and clean. Lovely flat walk along sea front for pushchairs wheelchairs etc as well as cycle path. Loads of benches.
