The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

If you're looking to experience true Minneapolis, this is a must visit. The grounds are beautiful, the sculptures are amazing. It's always a special experience to be able to visit outdoor art. I loved it as a kid (still do) and my kids love it now, too. Be sure to check their schedule as there is a huge renovation project... More

I wouldn't make a long drive to come see this but...If you make a day out of it by going to the art museum, the sculpture garden, then hit the big farmers market! Definitely makes for a fun day in the sun! That's worth taking a day to do in my opinion.

I chose a warm sunny day to visit the Sculpture Gardens. The flower gardens are what captivated me. It made for some wonderful pictures with the Mpls skyline in the background.

This unique park is a really fun side trip just outside of downtown. Within walking distance on a nice day.

We decided to make a stop after going to a game in the cities with friends. We definitely had a lot of fun. We will be back once they have added the new sculptures. The giant spoon is a must see if you are in the cities!

It's always a joy to wander this park and check out the outstanding sculptures. The spoon and cherry sculpture is what they are known for, but my favorite is the Frank Gehry designed fish in one of the greenhouses. Plenty of space between sculptures so excellent for walking and also a pedestrian bridge to bring you to the park across... More

Note the sculpture garden has been under construction for the past year, scheduled for completion in June 2017. It's the iconic spoon and cherry, great sculpture, a quiet garden, tucked into our busy city. Cross the inspirational foot bridge to Loring Park, formerly Central Park, have dinner and drinks nearby, or in the Walker. All adjoining. The signature of Minneapolis.
