Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is just COOL in general. Amazing beer, great staff, huge projector, and the building itself and history behind it are so interesting. Really big parking lot so it's easy to find a spot and free.

The juicy IPA is my favorite

This place has great and ample inside and outside spaces, along with a decent size parking lot. We chose to sit outside on the large upper deck. I had the two double dry hopped hazy beers they had on tap, along with the Bavarian lager. All three were good, but not great in my opinion. Next time I'd go with the regular hazy. This is definitely one of the better breweries I've been to for spaciousness, good mix of inside and outside seating, and ample parking. Usually at least one of those three is sacrificed.

Went there last night with my buddy. We pick a different tap room each month and explore the local beer scene looking for new favorites. Great space, friendly staff, plenty of parking.

We tried 4 beers, all quite good. My go to now is a hazy IPA. Headflyer's ranks up there with some of my favorites. However the beer was too warm! Even the first sip tasted too warm. I expect a new pour to be cool and refreshing. This just missed the mark.

I would rate the beer temperature a 1. The rest of the place gets 4.5 stars. Unfortunately I won't be back unless they change the temperature.

I have been here a few times now, I enjoyed the majority of the beers on tap and the Beyond the Door releases have all been tasty. Very friendly staff as well. The cribbage board is one of a kind. I will continue to frequent this brewery.

HeadFlyer is an excellent addition to the brewery list in North Minneapolis.

It's a big place with lots of seating inside and a large patio outside.

They have a large selection of beers. And pretzels out on the tables!

There is a free parking lot next door.

Someday I will see all of Minnesota's taprooms... Headflyer has a great space, converted industrial building, parking lot, small deck off the side and modern minimalist beer hall style on the inside. I ordered up a flight($11 as i think i had a few more expensive beers), grabbed a seat at a table and enjoyed sampling my collection while catching up on soem reading. I had the "It was all a dream" (ok) "Holla Honey" (-) "Goblin System" (+) and "Heavy D" (ok). To each is own for beer favorites and preferences, but they do have a great space, and the servers are friendly. Perhaps it was the night or the neighborhood but the crowd seemed like mostly college kids with a lot of bright hair color. If you visit, do yourself a favor and walk around a bit, they have large glass walls that allow you to see their brewing operation.

We've been here a couple of times. The beer is very good, the building is nice and so are the staff. We brought other people with us on our second visit and they really liked it as well. We just happened upon it the first time and obviously liked it enough to bring others along.

Yes, the population of tap rooms seems to increase each day in the Twin Cities area. But if you look hard, you find a gem. HeadFlyer Brewing is that worthwhile destination you need to visit.
The selection of beers covers a great deal of palates. HeadFlyer's selections were challenging to even the most hardened beer loves. A wonderful selection of beers on tap with clear and helpful descriptions for each brew. The staff was more than willing to discuss and explain the complexities of the rotating roster of beers.

The tap room is very clean, easy to move around the tables and chairs, and not too noisy. The space is not too noisy and or too cluttered. The front windows are garage doors that open to a moderate deck that faces Hennepin. The bathrooms are clean.
The tap room is right in the path of a popular bike trail, and is short hop off 35W or from Downtown Mpls.
I did not see any families inside on a Sunday. There is free parking in the lot at the side of the building.

In a glut of tap rooms, I will continue to return to HeadFlyer for some interesting beers.

Almost spotless taproom, great beers, reasonable prices and Twins on TV. Great place to hang for a while - they have a bunch of board games you can use. Beers were of good quality, especially the Wit, the Juicy IPA and the Porter. Friendly crew as well.
