The Guthrie's setting is beautiful. The view of the river is stunning. The play was interesting and entertaining. Saw "As You Like It", and the director put a modern spin on the Shakespearian show, which kept it fresh and interesting.

I've been there first for the view, viewing the Mississippi river in the winter was special ; second time for the building itself with a special architecture with a special design. You can not visit the city of Minneapolis without seeing that place

Do whatever it takes to get you into this excellent venue. I suspect your first visit won't be your last and you will be able to judge for yourself whether premium pricing is warranted for "preferred" seating. Enjoy!
