This place is amazing. When the flowers are in season, it's a stunningly beautiful place. Vast array of roses are displayed. It's a wonderful free place, with refreshments & toilet facilities across the street. Great place to spend 30-60 minutes.

Not worth the trip. If you are walking around Lake Harriet and are seeking a visual distraction, then its ok ... and just ok. This is definitely not a destination. You can find more roses at your local garden store.

There are larger rose gardens in the U.S. but this is a fine place to casually observe the beauty of many fine roses. Combine it with a Lake Harriet outing (across the parkway) for exercise or for concert-going. Stop and smell the roses!

This rose garden (billed as one of the largest???) is very, very small, and many of the little beds were quite new, so they weren't large plants, etc. We were there in June, yet I was unimpressed. The scenery was nice, but not really worth the drive over there, we thought.

I visited the rose garden in July, and some of the flowers were past their prime. But it is still magnificent, with blossoms of all different colors and shades to look at and smell (one must do that in a rose garden, mustn't one?). Some of my favorites were named after food- very bright colors, pretty combinations. You should also... More

Amongst the face paced area of Minneapolis's uptown hip area, near the chain of lakes, sits this enchanting rose garden. During the summer it is a nice place to take a walk and enjoy the smells and views.

I shared my youth with the Lake Harriet Rose Gardens. I grew up close by. I dunked in the fountains, searched for coins, rolled down the "big" hill and sometimes had a kite in the air. I met boys there for frisbee as a youthful girl and later strolled with my first born, beautiful and new, like the emerging rose buds.... More

It is beautiful! Like a surprise jewel as you travel around Lake Harriet. Has a nice fountain which provides a backdrop for photographers for weddings, etc.
