Stopped by to look around a little and see the falls in winter. Very beautiful with water coming over and freezing and ice at the bottom. Very nice indeed.

The park's main attraction is the upper waterfall. That area of the park is popular year-round. (Don't go off-trail in winter. It's illegal and the icy falls & pool are dangerous.) By all means start there, but don't leave the park without hiking the trail...More

We had a wonderful time visiting Minnehaha Park. The falls were frozen and beautiful! There were so many people walking and enjoying the day. What a great experience!

Great park with a nice seafood restaurant and outdoor patio (restaurant is open Apr-Oct). The creek goes over the falls which is easily viewable without having to go down the stairs or exerting any energy. If you're up for a walk or short hike there...More

The falls was half-frozen when we visited Minnehaha Park. It was beautiful to look at! We came all the way from Winnipeg and it was worth the trip.

Here is where you can find Minneapolis's best kept secret, a beautiful waterfall! The paths that follow the river allow you to enjoy the well preserved creek that progress did not destroy.

In summer or winter, this is a great spot to visit. Summertime brings the cool spray from the rushing waterfall. Winter is an incredible display of frozen falls, it's quite a sight to see. There are hiking trails all around, some paved, others are not....More

Our friend lives near this park and we often go for walks. It is a quiet place to get some respite from the city noise and haste.

The falls are beautiful - wear some sturdy shoes and you can walk all the way to the river convergence. Make sure to save room to eat at the bandshell... and if you’re a following fanatic or have never had it- grab a scoop of...More
