Lovely way to travel in the winter

A nice way to shop and stay warm while in Minneapolis. Can be tricky to navigate so highly recommend getting the cell phone app.

I suppose I can say the skyway system in Minneapolis is great. There are a ton of restaurants as well as independently owned retailers. When it's very cold outside, it's a great way to move about. Wash your hands when you have a chance!

Dare you to find a smoother way to travel throughout a downtown while avoiding the elements and enjoying non-stop shopping and eating on the way.

We were in downtown Minneapolis for meetings, and used the skyway to get from the parking garage to our hotel, made a big difference since it was so cold!

Living in a northern climate and having a downtown sky way system is a blessing. You can get out of the cold and get just about anywhere you need to go downtown inside thru the sky way system. Thru out you will find small shops and eatery's as well. People watching is always a plus too. Its very easy to... More

The Skyway system can be confusing because of all the corners to turn, lobbies of buildings to negotiate, etc. But, in cold weather, it's a great way to get from place to place comfortably. I found it very strange that most places to get food are closed on weekends. I realize the Skyways are busier on weekdays, but still: Subway... More

I work in downtown Minneapolis, so the skyway is my primary mode of travel. You can literally get from one side of town to the other. For the first time traveler to Minneapolis, it can be an intimidating maze, but you can download a map and there are maps and directions posted throughout. Some things to keep in mind: It... More

We used it in January but on a sunday when everything was closed so not much to see. Great idea to get around without going outside. Lots of stores and places to eat but most are closed on a sunday.

Use of the skyway can be abit confusing and carefull of the hours it is open but definately in the winter there is no question of the value, as some use I can get around fairly well mostly by knowing the building where they are the streets in relation to where I need to go, but if you are new... This is definitely a necessity in that Minneapolis winter, but it's such a crazy rush one has to make sure to stay on their feet. As a tourist, I wasn't exactly sure where I was going at all times, but everyone around me sure did, so I always had to stay out of the way. It was tons of fun... More
