Because it's definitely not here at Nomad. First impression when we walked in before the Loons match, "are we in the right place?" A local band was setting up, two people seated at the bar and our group of 3 scratching our heads. Yes, they have a few banners, scarves and other soccer smalls around the bar, but this is not a fan bar by any means. If this is where you go pre Loon match, you need to visit Seattle and see how Sounders prep for a match. Several local breweries available, majority not on tap but canned. We found out the Loon following has gone elsewhere, management evidently fowled up a fan club agreement. I wasn't impressed if this is MSP's best.…

I met a friend here for a little Trivia Mafia, we were one of 3 teams, so guaranteed a win! The place was pretty empty and it had rained earlier so I could see the patio crowd being light. We enjoyed a beer, tall boy of Bells Two Hearted($6) and a very well done Heggie's Pepperoni Pizza($12), perhaps too well done... Trivia was fun and a few people trickled in and out, it seemed like a bocce league started up while the night went on. Interesting bar, service was at the bar only, no waitress. They did have a food truck in back but it wasn't open at 6:30pm when i arrived and the menu was pretty limited. I'm guessing with the stage they have bands fairly often... I'm not sure I would give this place "Dive Bar" status like Palmers across the street, but a nice whole in the wall if you are looking for a patio and bocce.…

I am a Tottenham supporter and I came from out of town to visit friends. We needed a place to watch the Tottenham match on a Sunday morning. The Nomad was a huge positive surprise. The local Tottenham supporters happen to call this home base so the place was packed. The bartenders were a lot of fun and turned up the sound for the game. There is great beer on tap but the place was also very family friendly. There were parents and kids there in their jerseys all having a great time. Really pleasant atmosphere - easy to find and lots of easy parking. …

If you like good beer and enjoy watching soccer with other like minded fanatics, this is the place to come to. An amazing selection of craft beers, live music on many nights, and a fun crowd. Trivia nights and Bocce ball add to the enjoyment.
