Free museum on third floor is very interesting. Second floor main hallway is stunning and elegant from the early days of Mayo. Stop by for a quick visit while you are here!

This building is across the street from the Mayo Clinics Mayo/Gonda buildings. The outside of the building can be viewed from the upper floors of the Mayo buildings. It is worth walking inside to see what beautiful buildings were like in the 1920 era.

I only wish there was a roof top to see downtown from the building. Beautiful hall connecting to Mayo buildings.

We had some time to kill between appointments so walked over to the Plummer Building. The historical suite is full of artifacts from the Mayo Clinic and is absolutely breathtaking in its beauty. What amazing things the Mayo Brothers accomplished.

For anyone who enjoys 1920’s buildings, this building sets the standard. Tours available, although I don’t know the schedule. Sorry. Dr Plummer was a genius responsible for the smooth, organized function of Mayo Clinic from its beginnings.

Visiting Rochester is visiting Mayo Clinic. The Plummer building is the oldest building of the complex. The most amazing are the bronze doors. They say they are always open and closed only in 5 occasions. It also has a curious carillon mounted in the tower...More
