Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the finest soccer specific stadiums in the country. Capacity of around 21K makes for a great atmosphere but also not a bad seat in the stadium. The most fun can be found in the standing only Wonderwall on the south side of the stadium where the Dark Clouds create the noise. Nice beer selection (although grossly overpriced) throughout the stadium and a good variety of food to be found. The Brew Hall on the north end makes for a good spot pre- or post-game. Also make sure to stop by the Black Hart on University Ave with its new outdoor beer garden before the game where the most dedicated fans gather. Use the light rail from Minneapolis to avoid the hassle and cost of parking around the stadium.

Home of Minnesota United FC, or the Loons as they are fondly called by it's fans. One of the best venues for soccer in the country. Perfect size stadium. No bad seat in the house. The all standing supporter section behind the south goal known as "The Wonderwall" creates the energy in the stadium. Lots of beer options in the stadium and the Brew Hall in the north end is a popular destination. Also lots of high quality food options provided by many local vendors. Limited parking around the stadium. Ride the light rail to the Snelling Ave station to attend a match. Make sure to check out the Black Hart Bar nearby on University Avenue before or after the game to meet up with the hard core supporters of the team. Enthusiastic but respectful away fans are welcome here too.

This stadium was beautiful. Very clean and bright, not a bad seat in the house. The main ticket purchasing site used is Seat Geek and we did have a problem getting tickets, but after trying for a while, we were able to get some amazing seats. The food options were good, but the walking space is a little tight because of all the options.

I attended a company party at Allianz Field. The room was a nice size, the food was a spread of options, and the wait staff were pleasant to work with. Overall a great time was had by all. Can’t wait to see a game at the field!

My wife and kids went to a Loon game Sunday August 4th. The stadium is very nice, friendly staff, great seats. The energy of the fans was fun with chanting and waiving soccer scarfs. My complaint was we can’t bring in anything but tiny purse. We had to check our bags at nearby office for $10/bag. You can only bring in empty clear water bottles and then fill them up inside but not enough fountains with long lines. We parked at fair grounds for $15 and was shuttles to the front door. I think if you can find parking it is at least $30 by the stadium with traffic. Now we know their rules we will return but only if seats remain reasonable.

This is the new soccer field for Minnesota, located in the Midway of St. Paul. Good food selection and beer! The Beer Hall is spacious with good service. You cannot go wrong where ever you sit to watch a game. You're or feels like your right on the field. Great environment and plenty of bathrooms. The set this stadium up right.

My teenagers and I attended a Minnesota United game at Allianz Field. The seat had a great view, but were in the direct sun for the first half. It was a hot and sunny day, We retreated to the vendor areas that were all in the shade. The second half was perfect and the crowd was filled with positive energy for the entire game. Only down side was parking, it was a challenge to find any if you are not familiar with the area and didn't know you had to reserve parking in advance.

We visited Allianz Field for my husband’s birthday with a group of friends. What a beautiful new stadium! Though it seats thousands, it feels small and intimate compared to other stadiums. With everything being brand new this year, the grounds and facilities are spotless. The best food options in the stadium can be found at small vendor stands throughout. I wouldn’t recommend My Burger. I paid $13 and they forgot half the toppings. Beer options were plentiful however. Parking is relatively easy in nearby neighborhoods. We got GA tickets and stood at the end which is reserved for the most intense fans. While the experience was cool (and cheap) I wouldn’t recommend for kids.

I have been following and directly involved with soccer for over 30 years and attended games at many venues and this is a top notch stadium! The Loons have arrived into MLS and they are playing like it. Allianz Field provides great sightlines, great fans, and great food options. The fans a loud but friendly. The staff is helpful and always around when needed. People complain about cost of parking, but in reality there are several options that are very convenient and inexpensive. We are season ticket holders and we have never had a bad experience (other than some results on the field).

This is a very well designed soccer stadium compared to the 4-5 I've seen across the country. There are really no "bad seats" and I've sat in 4 different sections. The atmosphere is super friendly, inclusive, and inviting. As an "away" supporter, I found the Loons supporters to be fantastic, actually engaging in conversation, and fun to be around.
So why the 3-stars?
1) The obnoxiously loud announcer and music makes one feel like they're attending a WWE match. Why a stadium would drown out their own supporters chants is baffling.
2) Very average beer should not cost $13 a pint, unless you're trying to deter consumption. In which case, it's working.
That said, it's worth at least a visit, even if you're not a soccer fan. Just be prepared to take public transportation, or pay $25-30 (yikes) for parking.

We will likely walk about from the Days Inn to a game, which is about a mile. Is the surrounding area easy for pedestrians?

We were with a large group, so we had to park off site. Then took a shuttle to the stadium. But I did see ALOT of fans walking to the game. There was a lot of police around the stadium directing traffic and stopping traffic to allow fans to cross the road.
