Great place

This is a great place for a brief "museumesque" experience. When the kids were younger, they were mesmerized by the birds.

We were in St. Paul for a BMW motorcycle rally, and the Raptor Center was doing daily demonstrations at the fair grounds, They invited us to come to the Center for a Tour, of which we did. We were glad we did. The tour was very interesting and the guide was very thorough in their understand/explanations of the resident raptors.... More

There are classes and camps for kids and adults. They also work with groups . There is a tour every 30 minutes beginning at 10. The tour lasts about 30 minutes. Great fun for all ages.

The Raptor Center is a great place to visit for an insightful, one-hour tour. Visitors can learn about the regular tenants of the Center, which include an eagle, a turkey vulture, a hawk, and numerous owls and other birds of prey that have been rescued. Tour guides teach about the birds and some ecological issues. After the tours, my youngest... More

The tour was $5 and was lead by a college student. Short but informative and interesting. Got to see Eagles, Hawks, owls, falcon, and a few others. Not a big place but fun to see the raptors up close and learn about them.

A woman brought her service dog. A peregrin was scared and an owl was looking around the corner for the snack to come back. I bet that owl is still looking around the corner waiting for the terrier snack. Phoenix, the bald eagle, was awesome! also there is a historical bird who helped save the lives of many other birds!

We allow identified service dogs in the lobby and in the program room. We do not allow service dogs in the bird enclosure area. Many of the birds, eagles and owls included are very concerned about dogs. They have to keep their eyes on them because they do not know what they will do. They look at them as predators... More

Check for tour times, I did not pay attention to that but take a tour all the same. Very informative and enlightening concerning the work they are doing to rehabilitate raptors and return them if possible to the wild. Awesome up close look at owls, hawks, falcons and of course our national bird. We were there for the 2:30PM tour... More

This is not for little ones because it not toddler educational and it is really a hospital underneath. This is a short but interesting tour and has stories that will inspire about how these GREAT creatures are healing to go back to the wild. I like this as a budget friendly date and something a little wild.

I've heard about The Raptor Center for years and finally stopped to visit. Frequent tours show you their educational birds (not releasable), not the ones being rehabilitated. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed seeing these large birds up close
