It was lovely to get out of Danang and the journey here goes past some way better beaches up into the mountains to the cooler air. The views are stunning, the jungle impenetrable on either side and a sad thought and a couple of ruined...More

Spectacular views, no traffic and heat. That's what you can expect from the pass. We went from Hoi An but didn't go as far as His, we came back from the top but it was amazing nevertheless. Go for it.

Fantastic Veiws worth taking a look at. No much there but has an old look out and about six gift shops across the road. We visited this spot on the way to "Old Citavel"

We chose to drive ourselves from Hue to Hoi An ourselves and overall it was a very enjoyable trip - taking just over 6 hours from start to finish. The Hai Van pass itself was a treat. Hairpin bends, winding steep roads, all with a...More

We travelled it heading north in a car and stopped at one spot on the way up to take photos of the coastline. Good views. Again stopped at the top. Again views are good but shops are not unless you are desperate. Stopped again to...More
