Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife bought me a 1Hr Flight here at Jet Flight Simulator Perth. I had been to a 737-800 simulator on two previous occasions over the years and always enjoyed it but this turned out to be a great visit that will rate as the most fun.

Although quite an odd entrance as you walk through the door you find yourself transformed into another world of Flying paraphernalia in the comfortable front office.

The Chief Pilot (Ged) came through once the current flight had finished and introduced himself, a lively, jovial and friendly guy that makes you feel at ease right away. We discussed what knowledge I had and where I wanted to fly and then it was into the simulator.

It's quite strange as you walk through the door at the back of the office, I have seen simulators with a more realistically constructed approach to them but the simulator itself is as real as it gets and once you are in the left hand seat, then you might as well be in the real thing.

I had elected to fly a circuit at Saint Maarten (thoroughly recommend this, especially taking off over the hills & coming back in over the beach. Look it up on Youtube) but Ged recommended we began with a departure on 03 at Perth to get a feel for things. This was great as you recognise all the landmarks.

Then on to Saint Maarten which was a lot of fun and what stood out the most at this point was that this was not taken too seriously by the instructors as can be the case in some other simulators. I was encouraged to take control of more as I became comfortable.

We finished off with a flight from London Heathrow into London City Airport, a particularly short runway not designed for this aircraft and to my amazement we made a spot on approach and great (ish) landing. Obviously testament to the work Ged and the guys had put in to make me comfortable and impart the necessary knowledge on me.

If you find you are finding it all too easy, ask to disable the Auto Throttle Control and the Flight Manager and start having more manual control, I'm pretty sure this will keep you busy.

In Summary: Thoroughly enjoyable hour very well spent, somewhere for your friends & family to watch from comfortably, don't take it too seriously you are not flying the real thing just something very close to it, and above all else try something challenging and have fun.

Don't forget that you can take the whole experience away on a thumb drive too, which I recommend if it's your first time.

I'll be going back........

I sent my husband there for his birthday and he totally loved it. The staff are fantastic, they let friends/family watch and its so realistic, the system allows the pilot to land at different airports around the world your with a real pilot who sits as co pilot and explains everything to you, it really was a brilliant day

I decided to buy my husband something different for his birthday and different it was! Seated in a cockpit which was a replica of a real one, my husband was the 'Pilot' and was able to fly a jet aircraft (safely while on the ground in the Simulator). My husband was able to take off and land the airliner several times at destinations of his choice. The real Pilot (who sat in the co Pilot's seat) was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. I was able to sit close by and it felt like I was in the cockpit too. All in all a fun and interesting experience.
