This was a great state park- lots of trails from easy to challenging. It was pretty busy when we were there but there is plenty of room to spread out, especially if you go on the less traveled trails, which are beautiful. We were really glad we went.

The hike was fun and worth it. the view from the lighthouse was amazing. I never knew Minnesota was that pretty and i've lived here for over 17 years. its a really exciting outdoor activity away from the cities.

The visitor center is full of information and a nice gift shop. I walked the falls view trail which was very nice.

We traveled from Indiana, where you pay to get in every state park. We were pleasantly surprised that this is not the case in Minnesota. We came right after peak Fall color season, so there was lots of parking available at the visitors center. The center has a nice room showing the wildlife in the area, a clean bathroom, and... More

The falls are beautiful and the trails are well maintained and scenic. Lots of great photo ops here! I love that you can walk right out onto the rocks and get as close as you want. Great gift shop - always find something unique that I can't live without.

Gooseberry has three levels of falls. They are spectacular. The trails are constructed so that you can get very close and walk along the river. Being there helps me remember my place in the larger universe.

While staying up North we went to Gooseberry Falls for a half day adventure. The first pleasant surprise was that it was free. We spent over 3 hours hiking the upper, mid and lower falls. There are trails that wind through the woods for miles with several scenic spots with benches to stop and just look at the beauty of... More
