Some of the best Brunello we tasted in the region. And the service was just unbelievably exceptional. We made a day of reservation and they were able to accommodate us at the end of the day, and then, even though they closed at 5, the...More

We had a reservation for a visit and tasting (husband off B&B is the architect of this winery). They received us very friendly, we got an explanation of the Brunello and a look on the vineyards. We had a visit of their barrelroom and the...More

Mastrojanni has recently been taken over by the sea owner of Illy. A modern cellar has ans is being developed. Wines show fruit purity, all aged in large and small barrels. Two single crus are available!, however, not for tasting

We tried to stop in for a tasting, as Rick Steve makes it appear to be a drop-in winery, but we were turned away since we had not called ahead (we arrived at 2pm). It is very hard to find (you take a long dirt...More

Read about this winery in Rick Steven's book on Tuscany which said they were good for drop ins between 1330 and 1530 which was right during our time frame. The look is very modern inside their building. The wine was fantastic. We got to taste...More
