Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Outstanding beauty, great fishing, super nice people, everything is so nice. Early June, weather is great. Fishing has been good, catching everything. Walleye, crappie, rock bass, northern, perch. Even a couple small mouth bass. Staying on the lake outside Walker. The surroundings are gorgeous. Mosquitos are starting to be out and about . I was impressed by our guide the first day. Used guide two days to learn lake then five days solo.

This is a very large lake. It’s great for boating and fishing. There’s a campground off highway 371/ 200 that it’s not too expensive. Great for enjoying the outdoors. You can spend a weekend at the lake in a tent or camper and keep your boat docked.

You can visit Leech Lake a dozen times and not see it all, it is so big! We love fishing for Northern Pike and Lake Perch in the summer. If you are lucky you might catch a Walleye or Musky. Bass fishing is also very good. The Steamboat Bay region is great for fishing and boating. It is relatively shallow and is teaming with wildlife. Come in September and miss the mosquitoes!

The bay is really busy on the weekends but the lake is big enough to be able to
Enjoy it without having issues with other boaters.

Leech Lake is huge and so pretty. Go see it. Nice tourist destination. Great fishing. And this part of Minnesota is gorgeous. Go in September or October when the leaves turn. Or, go during the week when there aren't so damn many people

Leech Lake is HUGE- much bigger than I expected, and I grew up in MN. It’s a must see if you’re visiting the area. Not a great lake if you want to just boat around- you’d probably get lost. Beautiful and expansive though!

I always enjoy a pontoon boat rental, and a day spent floating around the very scenic lake. Even for a novice boater, the boats are easy to handle, and the is much to see.

My family has been visiting Leech Lake for generations. There's swimming, boating, skiing, and great fishing. Some tiny beaches tucked along the lake make for great stops during a day on the boat. Now there's even a convenience store and restaurant you can access by boat or car. Did I mention it's stunning and you will definitely see loons? Just as beautiful in the winter for the hardier folk; there's ice fishing, snowmobiling, and more.
