You can sell a cabin after 45 years of going up every weekend(it seems) and it still remains in your heart as yours. The huge tall white and red pines can't grow like this anywhere else and the clear BLUE water you can see all the way down. So worth that 4 hour trip from the "cities" .

This area is absolutely gorgeous. If you fish get a guide and fish, if you sightsee get information and go for drives all over the area, if you like to camp or sit around at a cabin find a resort or campground...no matter what you like to do - "JUST DO IT".

I found something new when I went this time. There is a nice little spot small park in Walker MN. that has a nice view over Leech Lake. I have stayed in cabins also on Leech Lake. Love to listen to the Loones on the lake.

Took the 14 mile tour on forest road 2107 today - enjoyed the drive on the unpaved road - some wash boarding but generally good - unfortunately did not see hardly any animals

We enjoyed spending a day and a night on Leech Lake. Coming from the Southeast, it was so interesting to visit a huge lake with relatively little activity in July. The water never seems to warm up, so don't plan on swimming. It is truly beautiful for boating and kayaking. Loved seeing the wild rice growing!

Great size lake and really inviting to spend the day in the area. Wonderful for fishing and boating. Borders Walker MN with small town atmosphere and welcoming attitudes

If I were to rate this lake based on our ability to catch fish it would be a zero! We fished very hard for a day and a half and came away with just one walleye which was in the slot and needed to be returned to the lake. However the scenery around the lake is incredible. It has a... More

We had alot of luck fishing on this lake. It did not seem over crowded even though we went a week before the 4th of July.
