We biked this trail to a few times and it was always quiet and a nice easy ride. You can also walk it and not feel like you are going to get run over by the bikers. It is nice and shady and well maintained.

PARKING IS A HUGE ISSUE! Aside from that, this is a lovely trail. Paving makes it excellent for rollerbladers as well as for bikers and walkers. In the Wayzata-Orono-Minnetonka Beach sections, you are very conscious of being close to Lake Minnetonka. Farther west, you go...More

This is a paved travel and pretty flat. From Wayzata to St. Boni it's about 16 miles one way. In St. Boni there is good restaurant to eat or get something to drink before you head back.

We ride the Dakota Trail from Wayzata to Mound and then on to St. Boni. Love this ride as we cross Lake Minnetonka at Crystal Bay.

I bike along this trail, and have taken it from Wayzata to Waconia, a 15-mile trip one-way. The scenery is beautiful and the trail is flat, as it was converted from a rail trail. During summer of 2017, there is a detour through Mound, with...More
