The house was built by a wealthy man and feature high ceilings. Even though the windows were blown out by Katrina, they have managed to restore the place back into very good condition. Impressive

Our guide was great. Very informative. House itself was small but amazing the story of survival from Katrina.

Passed by many times and decided to visit last Summer as we were driving. Wished I would have stopped years ago. What a wonderful place to visit and appreciate. Also enjoyed the Gulf views, gift shop, and informative tour.

Pros * Really enjoyed walking around the grounds. You can actually walk in an area with free roaming farm animals. * The tour guide was knowledge and did a nice job. * The home was was interesting to see. Cons * Home was relatively small, making for a fairly brief tour

Took a tour of the house and the grounds....everything was very interesting. lots of history and was amazed that the house is on 50 acres of land. Lots of it has been renovated because of Katrina but a must see if you enjoy history. There are golf carts that you can rent on an hourly basis to drive around the... More

Just a wonderful history lesson at Beauvoir! Beautiful grounds, wonderful tour guides, great library, and lots of great items to buy at the gift shop. Even on a very rainy day, Beauvoir was a hit! The only issue we had was the very noisy bird in the gift shop: seriously, it was squawking so loud that it hurt!

Once I got past the VERY RUDE lady (Donna) at the front entrance, I actually had a really great experience. The tour guide in the front house was funny and full of information. The grounds are beautiful and it was fun to see the goats, horses, pig and camel. It's worth a visit.
