Visited Memphis in search of the blues, but, was greatly disappointed. Red's is where it's at! Small, no frills, beer and soft drinks only, cash only, and extremely talented bluesmen! Will be back!

I was recommended to visit Red's by a musician friend. I wasn't disappointed. Great music, friendly people. A must see!

Unforgettable experience. This is the real deal. A local advised us to go here rather than ground zero and we're glad we did. It's a tiny little club and looks scary from the outside but once inside it's just all about the music. Beer only and no food. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

We were tipped to this place by Cat Head Records. He has a current list of all of the live music in Clarksdale. We had a blast! We met Red, had a cold beer and enjoyed the music of Anthony "big A" Sherrod. He played a variety of songs and featured several from his new CD. Nothing fancy about this... More

For blues fans, this is where you want to be. Me and my wife had a blast. We went for Red's birthday and listened to Leo Bud Welch, Lucious Spiller and Robert Eskew! Wow! They were all great. Everyone we met were also super cool and friendly. One big happy partying family. Highlight of the trip! Thanks Red for a... More

We came here after wasting an hour at Ground Zero. Don't do the same: come straight to Red's. There is a small entrance fee (I think it was $8) but there will be no-one pestering you to buy drinks. There was a guy with an acoustic guitar, playing old school blues. Brilliant! Don't expect much from the decor (or the... More

Went to Red's on a Sunday night, still a bit depressed about the election. Had been to Ground Zero night before and had a good time, but it was a pretty sanitary experience. Had some concern going into Red's. The building appears to be upright for no good reason. There was junk everywhere. The guy at the door got the... More

Reds was recommended to us over the more famous Ground Zero Blues and we were happy with what we were recommended. The place looks run down from the outside but inside it is fine. It only deals in cash and mainly has beers, not the place to go to for wines or spirits. However it is the place to visit... More

My wife and I loved this place! Authentic juke joint experience! We were made to feel welcome by Red and the band. We arrived early to get a table right up front.
