We recently took our camper down and spent 2 nights. It was very peaceful, we didn't get out to explore much since it rained almost the entire time we were there. Our only dislike was the camp sites are extremely close. It could use a little tlc on the grills and tables and just the camp grounds in general, but... More

The park itself is quiet and peaceful. There didn't seem to be much, or any, traffic in the park. Cabin 2 is in desperate need of a renovation. The bathroom is tiny with a shower that is set up so it is difficult to get in and close the door. They would be much better off with a simple curtain.... More

My husband and I took our travel trailer and stayed for two nights July 4th weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful and quiet it was. It rained off and on the entire time we were there but it did not dampen our visit. We took our dog and I went walking on Saturday. There was lots of places... More

Very dirty, spider webs and spiders, beds are horribly old-worn out and uncomfortable, coffee machine was dirty, pot and pans provided are rusted and old, light in shower was not working. Expensive for what you are getting...

My wife and I stayed in cabin 1 for 3 nights. It's a very rustic cabin with one large living area with double doors that open up to the large screened porch. Has a nice stone fireplace. Also has a window unit ac and a wall propane heater. The view is perfect of the woods and a nice hardwood bottom.... More

We stayed at Legion State Park in cottage #1. The cottage was a lot nicer than what I was expecting. The park was very quiet - maybe because we were there during the week. We loved the peacefulness and being able to just relax. There is not a lot to do at Legion State Park. The walking trail we went... More

Great place to bring your nieces, frog hunting, fishing, scouting, hiking around the lake, bring bikes or stroll down to the playground

A lot of history, as well as a very good state park to visit. It once served the Civilian Conservation Corp as it was being buitl, was a Boy Scouts of America Camp for years and now is a state park. A good many young men have passed through this park in future years and now visit it as adults.

Boardwalk on the far side, some woods, some open sun. Not very long - easy stroll around pretty lake.

My wife and I visited with our infant son in October, and stayed in Cabin 5 for 4 nights. The cabin was very rustic and fit our needs perfectly. Strangely, it appeared we were the only folks staying in a cabin on the weekend we visited, so the park was very quiet. Cabin 5 had a small kitchen, an enclosed... More
