See the Windsor Ruins and the Port Gibson Military Park. An afternoon of interesting stuff to do for only $4! Port Gibson Military Park has many outbuildings and interesting artifacts. Climb the observation tower, the view is worth it! Then drive out to Windsor ruins....More

If in the area, stop by and spend some time exploring this charming little town. Port Gibson played a huge roll in the Vicksburg Campaign itself and Grant said the town was “to beautiful to burn.” Enjoy stopping at some local shoes and have lunch...More

It's cute little town and has a lot of historic houses. Remind me of Georgia town street! Oak trees falling shady on the street and it was beautiful day when we went there..

Some treasures - lots of preservation work to be done. Some nice Greek Revival houses, cast iron fences, and a remarkable synagogue - Moorish influences and a 1891 shingle style church, take a quick walk though historic courthouse it had nice restoration

The TOWN and BUSINESS OWNERS need to step up and renovate / BEAUTIFY the BUSINESS area of town. The eateries( which are few ) are run down and have transients LOITER ING outside which keeps VISITORS away. The ONLY SAFE areas to eat appear to...More

So many cities have their finest days long gone. This is one of them, sadly. There are many interesting buildings, but it does feel somewhat abandoned.
