Nice place to be

Nice but not as relaxing as cars are permitted to drive on the shore. But this enables you to take all the heavy things right to the water.

Aldinga Beach is the place to go fossiking not swimming. Nothing very appealing about this place. It's full of rocks and seaweed. Look elsewhere if you want nice white sand.

The beach runs for miles! Just park up in your car, set up the wind shade and start that BBQ! We came here almost everyday during my 2 weeks stay and I'd do it all over again if I could! The water was so calm and clear accept for the one day which the weather wasn't great but it made... More

The coastline that includes Aldinga Beach is absolutely beautiful. Runs for miles. Some areas are accessible by 4-wheel drive so that you can actually park on the beach which is a great option when you have young children. Plenty of parking areas also. A number of casual cafes and takeaway food shops along the coastline also. Beach is well suited... More

As a Fleurieu peninsula girl, I remember when Aldinga was part of the country we'd take the kids camping at the local caravan park and spend days at the beach, as they got older we drove down for day trips and now it's just part of suburbia. Such a contrast to many eastern seaboard beaches where you can be lucky... More

I have swum here several times on warm days and really enjoyed the surroundings. When I visited, the water was great but more importantly safe from currents. A good spot for a family day.

While visiting Adelaide we drove down the coast and ended up at Aldinga Beach. It was a very hot January day, 40 degrees. We were so surprised to see so many cars and people on the beach, hundreds of them. The sand is hard and all kinds of cars were able to drive and park on this lovely beach. We... More

This beautiful beach stretches for miles and is plenty wide for a leisurely stroll. When we were there, we only saw a few other people. Near the car park is an open air structure with picnic table that's perfect for a picnic. The drive to Aldinga Beach from Adelaide is easy and takes about 35 minutes.

Just a brilliant beach which allows people to drive on the beach and park. Unbelievable on Australia day. This would be one of the best beaches anywhere. Nice gentile slop3 into the water and beautiful sand.. Have been here and Silver sands many times.
