Not quite desperation but I did need to eat after the traditional chaos of the pre-Easter escape. Its a nice busy pub with decent beer and space to eat. There was plenty of waiting staff but the kitchen looked a bit stressed by the comments of some of the other customers who had been waiting a while. The steak, chips... More

Nice food and staff are happy to help. The fish and chips are better value than I expected. We will definitely visit again.

My wife and I dined off the 2 for £9.99 menu and our meals were fine. Portion sizes were reasonable. I had the scampi and my wife paid £1 extra for the cod. Only disappointment was her pot of peas could have been hotter. We dined early (6pm) so had plenty of choice of tables. Staff friendly.

What a pleasure it was to walk in and choose a table of OUR choice and not be accosted by a staff member telling us where to sit. When that does happen and her/his choice is totally unsuitable to us, we say so and promptly leave!. The atmosphere here was relaxing and the staff so obliging and polite that you... More

Nice play area out the back for kids to play on when the weather is good. Be careful on the patio area though as its a bit rickety and needs sorting out.

Went here for an evening meal. Very busy due to Mother's Day. We managed to find a table and ordered a chicken sandwich and a fish sandwich with chips and a drink. £12.90 for the both of us. Bargain. Portion size was good. Quality was also good. We then shared a chocolate popcorn sundae. Staff were great. Food arrived quickly... More
