Pros: Great Food, good service by friendly staff, low prices, and a chance to strike up a friendly conversation with a random stranger that brightens your night and leads to a hell of a time. Often, there are people dancing, singing, and having a great time on the weekends. You can really have some amazing experiences in this down-home dive bar. If the inside is too crowded, smoky, or you just want to take in the air, the fenced in patio out back is a great place to sit, drink, listen to music, and play washers. You can still smoke inside this bar. Cons: the building is very old, and when people start stomping along to the never-ending country music, you worry the floors won’t hold out. Sometimes it’s packed, but often it’s dead or only hosts some cliquey locals, especially during the week, but sometimes on weekends, too, and they looove their country music, especially the old stuff. There’s a Touch Tunes jukebox, so there can be a wild array of music playing with people fighting to get their favorites played. You can literally hear Conway Twitty, No Doubt, Pantera, Prince, and Notorious B.I.G. in a span of 20 minutes. I’ve once watched as one of these regulars complained until the staff member (no longer there) turned off music I paid for in order to play the regular’s country music. Also, people can still smoke inside this bar. Bottom line: it’s a small town dive bar with all that entails. If you’re planning a visit, come before 9 so you can order some of their amazing food.
