Thank You For The Music ABBA is Amazing!
This show is a MUST SEE on any trip to Branson. What I like is they stay true to the music and don't try to 'make it their own. Performers are very nice people. They make our grandkids always feel like royalty!

    Amazingly Surprising Must See
To start off, I’m not now, now have I ever been a fan of ABBA’s music. My wife, on the other hand, is possibly one of their biggest cheerleaders. But, since I love my wife I figured I would make the ultimate sacrifice on our first visit to Branson and take her to the Abba tribute show. I have to admit, I was very surprised, because I totally enjoyed the show. The personalities were great, their voices were amazing, and the show was constant fun from start to finish. In addition, the almost two hour presentation was sprinkled with lots of fun Abba trivia. I’m still not an Abba fan, but next time we come back to Branson I will once again take my wife to the show.

    No live music
No live music. I expected at least a piano and guitar. This was essentially a glorified karaoke performance. The singers had good voices and were good dancers. However, they did not look or sound anything like the original ABBA singers. The choreography, recorded music, playlist, and lighting were great. The intermission videos were enjoyable. The venue was comfortable and had good acoustics. However, the video screens on either side of the stage were sometimes distracting.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … a track show does NOT equate to karaoke. That is such an insult to the four professional performers who give 100 % to sing, dance, interact with the audience, change costumes, and keep an audience engaged and entertained for two hours. I’m sorry if you expected a “piano or guitar,” but nowhere in any of the marketing does it say you would experience that. This show has been in Branson for 12 seasons, growing and improving with every year. It is a full production show - with fully custom, created from scratch, tracks. Yes, the performers do not impersonate ABBA - that is why the show is called a “Modern Tribute to ABBA” and why we make it clear up front that we will be paying tribute to their music as ourselves (which, honestly, we think is a unique aspect of our show). This sounds like an instance of someone entering a show with a certain set of expectations and not being able to adjust an opinion when they realized that the show was not going to be what they had originally expected - despite all the marketing that clearly describes the show in detail. The videos are an element that we’ve added to enhance the production and each video was painstaking created and customized to every song to add to the overall quality of the show - sorry you found them distracting. Since the show is a track show, I’ve personally tried to add as much as I possibly can in every aspect of the show - and that includes the videos. We certainly appreciate your compliments on the show as well; thank you for acknowledging the things you enjoyed and appreciated. We certainly understand that not everyone will love every aspect of the show, and that is totally fine - but I would hope if you knew the literal blood, sweat, and tears that go into every single performance of this show - you wouldn’t refer to the show as “glorified karaoke” again.

    VERY ENTERTAINING and GREAT PRICE!
Great show! Very energetic and entertaining quartet... also learned a lot about ABBA that I didn't already know. The singers interacted with the audience and met in the lobby during intermission to visit and give photo opportunities. We didn't have to break the bank to buy tickets...yay!

This production of ABBA thanks for themusic was wonderful. From the six-year-old to the 17-year-old twins, and 10-year-old granddaughters we we’re up and dancing through much of the show. Of course, they knew all the words. The cast had a lot of energy and really related so well to the audience. The artists had beautiful voices and tremendous harmony. A real treat. In addition, they provided a lot of historical information about many of the songs and the evolution of the group with audiovisual effects.

** I have reported this review multiple times, yet TripAdvisor will not remove it. ** This is a review of a completely unrelated ABBA tribute located in the United Kingdom. Sorry, you didn’t enjoy their show, but we have absolutely no connection and it’s a totally different show.

This is a tough review to write because I liked the show, but have a fundamental complaint. It was good music sprinkled with a little corny humor and included a lot of information about ABBA’s songs. I cheered, clapped and was dancing and singing during “dancing Queen” like most others, yet some of this performance did suit my ear. The performers said at the start that they were not trying to imitate ABBA, but honor their music. I get that; however, the essence of ABBA is the vocals of Agnetha and Anni. Bjorn and Benny are incredibly talented, but not lead singers (with rare exception). This show puts the men in the lead much of the time changing the sound and meaning of the music. It’s entertaining, but not really ABBA. Even with that criticism, it’s a show well worth your time and money.

Thank you for the review. The name of our show is: “Thank you for the Music: A Modern Tribute to ABBA”. The whole purpose of the show is to capture the essence of ABBA’s music, but present it in a non-traditional way. Many of our fans are actually more familiar with ABBA’s music through Mamma Mia - which means they are very used to hearing the males taking lead on many of the songs. We are just trying to present another unique take on their songs (as Benny and Bjorn did when they created Mamma Mia). The same goes for the entire show. Out costumes are reminiscent of the spirit of ABBA and disco in general - but they are also modern and unique to us and our show. Even much our music has been re-arranged to be reminiscent of the classic ABBA sound, but changed to reflect a more current sound. We just believe that, for us, we are better at paying tribute to their music if we can be ourselves - perform as ourselves, sing as ourselves, and just do our best to honor their music in our own way as opposed to trying to imitate them. Hopefully that kind of clears of the concept of the show. To say it’s “not really ABBA” is not really true, because we never try to be ABBA in the first place. Their music has been presented in many different ways over the years, and that’s what we try to bring to life - not an imitation of the group, but a celebration of their music. Glad you had fun, hope you’ll come back and see us again.

The music was phenomenal! The singers are so personal. Along with the great show it included a history of group. Learn what happen to the group and some of music I never knew and how they influenced rock and roll.

We are ABBA fans and very leery of tributes that fall short. This one did not! What a great show this was. The # of costume changes was appropriate.
The voices were such a nice blend. I could almost…close my eyes and see ABBA :)
