Anytime I travel I like to see if there is somewhere to get special gourmet chocolates. I am quite happy to drop $50+ on chocolate for myself and my family if it's good quality and unique chocolate. So I did a little research and learned that there is a little place in branson. My in-laws have a time share so we are here every couple years. I looked for chocolat where google maps told me it was and couldn't find it so I even asked a shop owner. I got directions and even still had to turn around twice till I finally spotted it. It's about 1:15 pm and I walk in and start planning out what I'm going to purchase for myself, my sister, etc. and a man walks in (I haven't seen anyone until then) and asks if I'd like to buy chocolate. I said yes and he said he would go get someone, I'm assuming whoever runs the chocolate shop. He comes back a few minutes later and says, "I guess he's not open until 1:30. He doesn't have the register open or anything." I was dumbfounded. I'm standing there, ready to hand over my money and he can't be bothered to come help me. I wasn't about to sit there and wait until this guy decided it was convenient to help me, so I left. Who knows, maybe the chocolate is fantastic, but I'll never know. Tucked away behind the counter for an attraction where for a fee they will scramble your brain and organs while you're encased in a little ball, you will find a flourescent lit counter of the most delectable hand crafted designer chocolates. The chocolates are brightly colored and seem too beautiful to eat, but the reward to your taste buds and olfactory centers is even greater. I indulged in a plate of the little goodies while my nine year old drove full tilt around their raceway. I had a glittery greenish gold delight made with irish liquor. I also had a red pyramid shaped one by the name of lava with salted caramel and dark chocolate. I could barely sample the large array of flavors offered so I highly recommend a daily trip to try a trio. They also offer large ornate gift boxes for those of us that amount of willpower.…
