Relaxing and a little bit trippy

Long time listener, first time floater. Okay, so just first time floater.

I had read about floating. A lot of CEOs and visionaries have used similar practices for decades to free their minds. I'd been looking for an opportunity to give it a try. My wife on the other hand was pretty nervous about it.

The staff was great! The entire process was explained to us in detail and much of the details of our experience was up to our preference. Lights on/off. Music on/off or fade it out during the float. The tank could be open or closed. So basically it was to your level of comfort.

I would think that a claustrophobic person would have a little trouble with this, and I'm not so your mileage might vary if you are. I found the tank to be rather spacious, and once the door closed, the lights were out, and I was floating it felt even more spacious. It felt almost like I was turning in circles. My point is to give it a try even if you think you'll have issues with it. Ultimately, you are in control and can open the door at any time. If you are worried about it. Open it once you've gotten in. It is a heavy door, but not hard to open.

I tried several positions and found that my hands over my head gave me the best results. The float takes all the pressure off your joints and feels amazing if you suffer back pain. My wife reported for the first time in years to be pain free. It was very relaxing. Neither of us had any trouble avoiding salt in our eyes either, just lay back slowly and try not to splash.

Give yourself a least an hour and a half to complete the process. I think we ran nearly two hours for the pre/post shower, float, and the tea and conversation afterwards.

It was a very good experience and I look forward to doing it again sometime.

1st Time Floating

I absolutely loved my first experience floating. The staff were sociable and thorough. I had a groupon, but even regular rates are great. I actually have a fear of water and am a tad claustrophobic, and I didn't panic. They will let you take lights in, or you can float in the dark. I was comfortable, and with the great instructions, I didn't get any salt in my eyes. I could really tell that when I was weightless from floating in the warm Epsom salt water that it took off all the pressure and pain I had on my hips and knee. Go relax and get floating!

I have migraines and fibromyalgia. For the first time in my life I had no tension in my neck and shoulders when I got out of the tank. I can't even begin to describe the level of relaxation. 2 weeks later and I still feel good from it. Better than any pain pills or muscle relaxers I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!

If I had to tell anyone about this experience I had here it would be a novel! It was the most calming and relaxing thing in the whole world! I have had an extremely stressful last few days. I was really sore and tense with headaches and horrible back pain. As soon as I shut that door to the tank and relaxed and laid down I was weightless. All my worries were gone and it was so peaceful! I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep a few times. Jesse was very helpful and friendly. All my pain I had when I went in was gone by the time my session was done :) I will most definetly be going back for another one!

I had my first Float experience yesterday. I do have to admit I was a bit nervous, but when I arrived Jesse and Bailey put my nerves to ease. They answered all my questions and were very helpful. Jesse was very good at giving me the directions I needed to have the best experience possible. It was awesome. I felt so relaxed and my body felt very rejuvenated afterwards. The facility was very clean and the atmosphere was very chill and calm. After my float, we sat and talked for about 20 minutes after they made me some relaxation tea, which was delicious! I have chronic pain and tendonitis in my feet and I injured my back a few weeks ago and the float made me feel 100% brand new; no pain, no swollen ankles, and I could move, again, without being in pain. I will most definitely be coming back and I will certainly be bringing friends and family with me!!!! Thank you guys for such an awesome experience!!!!

Just got home from my first float at the new 417 Float Spa. I am by no means an experienced floater but I know a bit about the ideas behind it and I couldn't sing more praises about this place, more specifically the woman who was running the place. Let me first say that the facilities are top notch and so are the tanks. These are the real sensory deprivation tanks, the one's John C. Lilly helped perfect. True denial of all the senses in order to set the brain free, I still can't believe they are this close to home. They have everything you could possibly need whether it's your first float or you hundredth.
I knew as soon as I got out of the tank I was making a follow up appointment with the lovely young lady at the front, Bailey. We then proceeded to have a long informative conversation about the birth and culture of flotation as well as the daily processes. She not only answered all of my inane questions and concerns, she was also very learned in all things flotation. She was very experienced and excited about bringing the tanks to our area and spreading the good news that is Float Tanks. She also explained how the owner came to know about floating and how much he cares about getting it right. Truly great customer service.
I could go on but I won't because I'm sure I'm getting boring. I will end with this, no matter what your reservations about this, just give it a shot, it's just one of those things you must experience in life. I can't wait to go back.

What a way to relax! I have floated before and I am very excited to see there is one in Branson now! Floatation tanks open people to a whole new way of relaxing and having a clear mind.
