Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I went here on Sunday 31st March 2024. This is a cracking little course and feels really homely. all staff are pleasant and relaxed. Can't really fault this course except for 1 thing! Those drinks prices. Ffos Las, you've got to be kidding charging £6.70 for a pint of Carlsberg, yes £6.70. That is the most expensive pint of Lager at any racecourse we've ever been to, including some top end courses like Ascot, Epsom etc. The prices are nothing but madness. Luckily for us, we didn't skin ourselves because we had to wait 25 minutes to get served (because the bars were severely understaffed), therefore we didn't have to sell the house to get another couple of pints. What should have been a great day was marred by those crazy prices for low quality Lager.

Enjoyed the racing or what we managed to see of it. Ffos las really need to look at the amount and quality of staff on the bars. Queued an hour to get a drink. Everyone was complaining. Staff were on a go slow and obviously could not cope with the number of customers. More staff and more training needed. Some of them didn't have a clue ...including a supervisor. Queues for toilets were ridiculous too. Don't hold these large events if the facilities can't cope with the number of people.

Races and weather were good , we went as they also had a reggae band on and last year we had seen Kaiser Cheifs and it was Brill. This year it was a real disappointment the sound system was bad! All we could hear was bass drowning out the singers etc. We left along with a lot of other people! Shame and a shame for the band.

WOW just WOW, was a complete shambles from beginning to end, no coaches or taxis from the train station to track after 12 noon, the alcohol was ridiculously priced £2.40 for a DASH in your spirit. But on the plus side didn't spend fortune on alcohol because between the length of ques for the bars & the SIX urinals you simply didn't have the time. Whoever is running the show needs removing asap before we lose another good course 👎

Last visited here in 2019 and the lines to get to the loo or food and drink were at least 20 mins plus. No change in all that time still awful long lines of people everywhere. Toilets not the cleanest and staff clueless about drinks. There was a bigger head on my larger than a 99 ice cream.

One thing that was visible was also drug use and the sale of drugs in the grounds. Which was farcical as we were searched for alcohol and had it confiscated but white powder gets in no problem. Lots of posh younger race goers off their faces with families and children having to put up with their antics and anti social behaviour.

We visited on Easter weekend family weekend racing day. And we all enjoyed! Plenty of fair rides and bouncy castles for kids. And they were all free. Tickets cost us just under £40 entry fee for my partner and me. Kids go are free! There was also Easter egg hunt organised for little ones. Magic show and face painting. Plenty of bars and food stalls around site too. I would recommend you taking fold up camping chair or maybe picnic blanket just incase there’s no outside seating available. Because they are limited. But it didn’t bother us. Views were great watching horses go around track

Fantastic day yesterday at Ffos Las. Family of 3 generations from age 20 to 70 and everyone loved the day. We went as had seen the event advertised on Facebook as University of Wales Trinity Saint David's manage the event. First time most of the party had attended Ffos Las and certainly won't be the last. We opted for the package with a meal in Bridles. Again this was outstanding. Food was good, service excellent, nothing was too much for the staff and students. It was the wonderful balance of professional and friendly which made you feel relaxed as well as feeling like a VIP.

My first time attending horse racing event I came with my husband to be my friend and my friend’s mum as they are big horse racing fans. This is my first horse racing event as bride to be. Staff were warm and welcoming and toilets were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. I’d definitely recommend Ffos las racecourse to all my friends and family as I have thoroughly enjoyed and have made memories here

Attended Ffos Las race day yesterday for a birthday celebration, the races were great & betting was a great bit of fun however there was only one very over-priced and very poor trailer which served dry, cold, pre-cooked burgers, chicken goujons & the worst chips ever, along with the cheapest grossest tomato sauce and salt that was so damp it came out in soggy clumps!! The alcohol served at the bar was no better, overpriced and cheap substitutes …. Tasted like medicine!! I had one drink all day as I refused to pay over the odds for a poor quality and frankly vile drink. I wasn’t the only one to feel that way in our party of 40 people. Come on Ffos Las provide quality food and drink and people will spend more!! We have experienced Chester & Ascot and whilst I wasn’t expecting that level I was expecting something edible & drinkable. I for one won’t rush back & that is such a terrific shame as the facility here in West Wales is great and could be so much more. Completely lacks any finesse at all. Wish we had stopped at Mcdonalds on the way & I never wish for a McDonalds!!!

Had a runner here - I dont know where to start. Horrendous place to get to, horrendous O&T facilities, horrendous aesthetic - it rather looks like how you might build a racetrack were you asked to do it as quickly, inexpensively and least likely to leave any lasting positive impression on someone as possible. In all fairness the track itself isn't that bad, and I can quite understand how locals like it given the lack of opportunity for other leisure opportunities in the area, however if you are a seasoned racegoer, I cant recommend you visit for any reason whatsoever. I was at least blessed with free plastic wrapped sandwiches and subsidised bottom shelf alcohol, the complaints from outside about price, service and quality for on track food were quite apparent as I enjoyed my walk to the course - further reinforced by the unfinished victuals being tossed in the bins. I shall not be returning in a hurry.
