Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful church in the centre of the town and it’s a real focal point. Even though it is a few hundred years old it is beautifully maintained and makes for some wonderful photographs.
There was a wedding on when we were there and it crackled with atmosphere. The area around it is very busy and there’s some really nice bars where you can stop for a cold beer having hiked up this far and watch the locals go about their business.

In the middle of the town, just opposite the excellent town museum, and surrounded by as many eating (and drinking!) places as you could ever want, it comes as a surprise to see this charming little church.
Officially a Hermitage rather than a parish church, it has towered above the tiny houses in the narrow streets for well over 300 years. How many births, marriages and deaths has it seen!

One of the many nice little churches that are dotted around the beautiful mountain village of Mijas. Nice bell tower.

Pretty little chapel up in the mountain. The stations of the cross are on the path going up. Nice walk. The chapel is only open on Good Friday. Nice view from atop the mountain.

It is lovely that so many of the village churches are open with no charge. In the middle of summer they must be cool & calm places away from crowds, in January they are cold & calm, but so worth seeing.

Pretty little church which makes a great addition to your architectural photos of the village, I get the feeling that it is still very much the centre of village life.

Whenever we come to Mijas Pueblo we always popped into San Sebastián church, it's an iconic local church and very popular especially with my dear late mother.

Have visited on a few occasions but this is the first time the church was open. Very Beautiful. I would have liked to have found out more about the church but everything was in Spanish, I will have to learn Spanish.

We were looking in the shops nearby when we came across this tiny church. Inside its not at all fussy but it has a simple charm. A nice place to visit for a few minutes.

The little church comes alive at Fiera (September) time when bands and paraders from all around the region ascend to Mijas. The narrow street seen beside the church is packed with wonderful restaurants.
