This museum is filled with special finds from around the U.S. and has a highly educated staff to help you understand every little piece! Bring a notebook and a very good question: it helps to understand and appreciate the breadth of the gatherings. Kids love...More

Spent an hr or so here. There are some interesting exhibits and some art displays as well. Interesting but not sure it would be worth a trip to Columbia by itself.

The museum isn't large, but it's got a surprisingly diverse array of art. Cool medieval/renaissance art, and a lot of artifacts and sculptures from different eras on the archaeology end (check out the mummy shroud). It's located off the main campus, but it's a good...More

First of all, the museum is no longer at the address listed. It has been moved to the Mizzou North building on the I70 Business loop. It is free which was nice. Atmosphere was pleasent. We had it pretty much to ourselves too.

Although the museum itself is not large, the variety of works is interesting from early local art to classical art. Definitely worth a visit.

This is where I went to school, taught art classes, bought really neat jewelry and go to see new art shows. There are Docents that know what they are talking about. It is right on the MU campus.
