Very factual tour with many tours. Be sure to take the tour of the house. Tour guide brings it to life. It’s not too far a drive from highway 64.

My wife and our adult children visited this past weekend. It was a cool, though beautiful day for the visit. We toured the main house, with Angel or Angela as guide - not sure on the name - but whatever, she did a great job!...More

Definitely a must see place if you are anywhere near this area. Very well preserved, with an excellent presentation. A step back in time.

Historic site in Defiance, Missouri. The house was built by the son of Daniel Boone, Nathan. The comfort in that house (Georgian style) is amazing considering it was built in 1800. It is worthy to visit and hear the stories on each one of the...More

To say this was Daniel Boone's home is a loose interpretation. He lived here, but the home was owned by his son. We took the paid tour as the self guided tour does not allow you to go into the buildings. Little did we know...More

Beautiful location in wine country - so once you are done visiting here, wineries are nearby! This is a wonderful trip back in time complete with a mini town on the property.

Very well maintained and friendly staff. The guidebook is an excellent aide in a self guided tour. Can’t wait to go back for the special events this year.

Daniel Boone is becoming lost to time and his final days were spent right in Missouri, a short distance from St. Louis. Took my wife, stepson, my mom and mother in law for a short ride in the country. It was worth the trip and...More

I have recommended the Daniel Boone home to family and friends for twenty years. The Missouri/Boone story is interesting and the docents bring it alive. If you don't learn about the body snatching during your tour, ABSOLUTELY ask about it!

We just happened to come across this place during a day trip in the area. I guess we would have gotten much more out of it if we went on the guided tour. We did not have time for that so we just walked around...More

If you haven't already scouted it out, I recommend you do so. Some attention to accessibility has been given to the areas used for weddings, such as the main house and reception pavilion. I think the chapel has a... More
