Received the Quilt Kit I ordered in a beautiful matching box. The fabric inside was in plastic. Lovely presentation. Thank you

I am a long time Missouri Star customer and I just love Jenny, Misty and Natalie and the tutorials. More than once, I have watched the tutorial and bought the kit and caboodle. I have been to Hamilton and just loved it. I got a group of quilters together this year and we decided to do a virtual MSQC Block of the Month program. Unfortunately, it has not worked out for me. Since month 4 now on Month 10), they have consistently sent me the wrong month. Every month I call, get a pleasant customer service rep who promises to fix it and then it doesn't get fixed. My friends and I have laughed it off until this last month when the representative was terrible, didn't listen and actually said "well this is the first month I have helped you". Like it was my fault I had to keep calling! Above all, not once did they offer to adjust the price for my trouble or send something kitschy like a free sewing kit. For this price, I should have had a stellar experience. I will have paid $313.39 for the kit/instructions for one quilt when I am done (11 months @ $28.49/month). Terribly disappointed in this program and do not recommend it or a future Block of the Month program from MSQC to anyone.

I'm one of those people who sewed way back when, but after dragging out my machine to sew masks for everyone, I thought I'd make a quilt top for diversion. Well, I stumbled on MSQC and I've now placed SIX orders (so far) during the pandemic. PROS: (1) Really friendly, helpful people 99% of the time on the online chat feature. (2) Everything I've ordered (yardage, precut fabric, and machine quilting for 2 projects) has been high quality. (3) The shipping costs are really reasonable and the time it takes to get my stuff is always within the timeframe specified on the website (including the expected delays due to all the other sheltered-in-place shoppers). (4) Reasonable prices for top-quality quilting fabrics that are hard to find at the big-box stores in my area (the small shops are mostly closed and don't offer online shopping)--plus those stores' team members aren't as friendly or knowledgable as those at MSQC. (5) Loads of free video tutorials, patterns, advice, etc. (6) GREAT SELECTION of pretty fabrics for any project; I particularly like the precut selections of fabrics that coordinate with each other--this would otherwise be impossible to get right online (and would take me forever to decide, anyway!). (7) I've had no problem with shipping (I get emails, obsessively track the packages, and they come as expected). CONS: These are all minor. (1) I wish the fabrics were put in a (dreaded) plastic bag for shipping--they're just placed in a cardboard shipping box, which seems risky to me if the box is delivered on a rainy day. (2) I wish there were a way to know what number in line my machine-quilting project was. (3) ONE person on the chat line was unable to help me in any way other than to suggest I call the store during business hours... huh? This experience was offset by at least 6 other chats that were terrific. Quick tip: If you fall in love with a cute fabric/charm pack/jelly roll, etc., BUY IT. At least during the pandemic, stuff sells out quickly. So far, I've been OK (I buy everything I think I'll need for a project in one purchase), but I'd advise against buying less than you need to complete a project, thinking you'll pick up the rest later, as it could well be sold out, and MSQC might never get it back in stock. And that would just be "too 2020" to bear.

I just want to say I ordered several times from Missouri Star Quilt Company in the last few weeks. I went in with no expectations due to the fact that it CLEARLY STATES on their site that due to the Covid 19 pandemic that filling orders and shipping may take longer than usual. I did receive notice to my email which I missed when I looked for it. I did actually find it in my spam email though. I rarely if ever check my spam mail. However, I have fixed that issue and now receive my shipping emails just like my newsletter and special deals in my regular inbox. I recently ordered on Amazon back in June and that item has still not arrived. It currently has a arrival date of August 21st to September25th. So to complain that your waiting until the 14th end of day give me a break! While I would recommend Missouri Star Quilts to anyone who loves quilting. If you have a project that you need done by a certain time, you might should run down to your local fabric shop and purchase there. Otherwise plan ahead order your fabric ahead. I tend to keep at least enough fabric on hand to do a baby quilt at the last minute. I always have a jelly roll and a couple charm packs laying around as well. I am not rich by any means but I definitely try to add at least a jelly roll or a charm pack every other pay day when my pocket book allows. If you plan ahead and take into consideration that this pandemic is affecting every business all over. You might be a little more happy!

Placed an order on July 25, 2020 for fabric for baby quilt. Never received an email when it was shipped (as I was promised). Have been tracking daily since August 3rd when their site says it was shipped. It was supposed to be delivered to the PO Box on August 11, 2020. Everyday I have gone to the PO and they have no knowledge of it. FEDEX Surepost should not be used. I called Missouri Star Quilt on August 12 and the rep said she would look into it and email me back with an expected delivery. I have heard nothing and now the fake tracking site says August 14th end of day - so is that midnight - the Post Office then won't be available until Monday. Of course, my credit card was charged right away and I may never see my order. Do not recommend Missouri Star Quilt because of their shipping process.
