Tom Sawyer in his hometown

Loved this little town from Samuel Clemens' (Mark Twain) boyhood. And this statue was perfect, depicting Tom and his buddy Huck Finn, in the simpler times of ouwhen r country.

It's a cool statue. Don't come hundreds of miles to see it though. Come hundreds of miles to eat at OLE PLANTERS RESTAURANT! this is what you come to Hannibal for! Just walk right down the street for a meal you will never forget! Chicken fried steak! BBQ beef and pork sandwiches! This is the secret to happiness!

This took us a while to locate, but when we did find it, we were glad that we took the time. Very well done. Good artist.

This statue is near the historic area where there are other Mark Twain historic sights to see such as the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum and Becky Thatcher's house. It is also close to Big River Train Town and not too far from the Lighthouse. The statue itself is actually very nice to look at and has impressive detail.... More

We found this monument when looking for the Mark Twain Light house. It is as gorgeous in person as in the pictures.

Perfectly illustrates Tom and Huck Finn. The setting around the statue is very pretty. If you venture to the top after many steps there is a wonderful view of the river. My husband took the trek, I did not!

Located along the side street off main. You could possibly overlook it, as it sits back from the street. The location offers enough room for picture taking.

Hannibal is the right place for a Tom & Huck statue, and this handsome bronze statue is in the right place in Hannibal. The downtown, pedestrian-friendly location is highly accessible, and as thousands of tourists will attest, the attractively landscaped setting of the statue makes for a great photo op or memorable selfie. If you don’t have time to stop,... More

As statues go, this one is pretty good. In downtown area, it adds to the local Mark Twain attractions. Hard to miss, and no charge, of course.

It's a statue of Tom and Huck. It's a good photo opportunity. It also marks the beginning of the stairs up to the lighthouse. There isn't much you can say about it beyond that. Artistically, it's pretty good.
