The museum is nicely laid out with clean displays about the life of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes. Upstairs are rooms set up with period furniture. Explanations are only in Spanish. There were a lot of staff and few tourists, we found everyone to be friendly...More

It's a beautiful, colonial house with period furnishings and memorabilia of one of Cuba's most famous heroes. There's a little explanation but all in Spanish.

Well-maintained home with artifacts and explanations of the life of Cespedes (and his family). A true hero who rejected his own history of priviledge to take up an anti-slavery/anti-colonial struggle.

We spent a hour or so walking around the artifacts, and enjoying the exhibits. There is a 1 CUC charge per person and a 5 CUC if you want to take photos. We usually sack the camera unless we see something that we really want...More

I really enjoyed the visit to this museum which contains many of his personal memorabilia which relates to his life and that of the history of Bayamo and the struggle foe independence .The staff were friendly and helpful.
