Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Playa Roja it's another beach inside Paracas National Park. It's a wild beach (like Yumaque beach). But it's red. Why is so? Because of volcanic nature. And why other beaches aren't red? That I don't know.
You can't step down to the beach (conservation reasons), but it's a great place to look at and enjoy its views.

We were in contact with Efrain from Playa Roja before we left for Peru. He was really helpful answering all my questions. In the end we booked two tours through his company to the Paracas Reserve and the Islas Ballestas. We got great prices and the tours were very good. We would definitely recommend Playa Roja.

I used Playa Roja Tours (PRT) to rent a bike. It's best way to see the area because you are IN the environment and don't have any of the noise of a vehicle or moto. You can see much more than whipping through in a car/moto. It's not too far from the town of Paracas and is a nice way to work off all those calories from the excellent food and drinks in town. PRT had an excellent price for rentals and was much cheaper than others and their bikes worked well. The shop is right downtown Paracas near the roundabout by the beach next to the other bike rental spots. They stored my backpack safely while I was out. It was a great experience. I saw some flamingos at the museum and even a penguin at playa mina. By traveling on a bike I was able to meet new people as I got off and walked around different places. I took a bike to all the spots and had time to chill at the beach all in under 4 hours...highly recommend it for a full day.

This beach area is with stopping on your drive through the preserve. The red sand and cliffs are stunning. Not much wildlife though.

Great looking beach. No one there and I am not sure if it’s possible to just let there or if it’s supposed to be only to look and not to lay there. Amazing landscape.

The company at their basic services was great: good value for money. we did the Hucachina buggy through them, and they even picked us from the Pisco airport, ket us leave our luggage at the hotel and them took as to the buggy. the next day they picked us up from the hotel to the Ballestras islands, which was also very good.

The same day we ordered through them a private transport from Paracas to Lima because I felt very bad: a nightmare!
first, the car didn't have Air Condition. .
When I told Playa roja about it, they called the driver and he confirmed he will fill gas for the cold only a few days later. they had the impertinence to tell me that now the driver will turn it when.
I answered that I heard them talking over the phone and they shouldn't treat me as an idiot. ( I speak fluent Spanish)
They immediately backed off.
The 2nd issue was the payment to the driver: we agreed on 350 sol, I paid 200 at the beginning and said I will pay 150 at the end. of course I didnt want to pay for a non-AC car.
They should have paid the driver and they simply ignored him and his calls. I had to call from my number so they would answer me and I transferred the call to him.
They started to make excused that I didn't said I want an AC car (they day before we had one, so why should I mention that?) then they said the ride to Lima is longer and I get a basic car - nonsense, even Cruz del Sur bus have AC.
At the end I had to wait with the poor driver until they transferred him 100 sol. (I paid him the other 50, I didnt have the energy to fight for another 50 soles)

As a company to do the basic adventures they were good. I think that a really good company values in the EXTRA. You dont argue with the costumer who feels bad physically, you don't lie to him and treat him like an idiot, and you should not treat lower people (ie the driver) as trash - which is what they did when they didnt answer

These guys were so lovely & gave us a great deal on bikes & advice on where to go in the nature reserve. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting paracas & are wanting to cycle around.
