Old Hobart Town is found on Bridge Street, the main street in Richmond, around 20 minutes from the centre of Hobart. There is no onsite parking but there is plenty of parking on the street. The model village is based on actual plans of Hobart...More
We happened across this model village on our way through Richmond and we were pleasantly surprised. Great detail was put into the construction and reference to the current city structure. The gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend for kids...More
An adult friend told me I must visit here and I was a bit sceptical but went anyway. Entrance down a lovely walkway.

Old Hobart town is worth a visit.
It is not conspicuously obvious attraction as it is up a lane way next to Wood Shop. There is minimal signage, just an "A" frame on the footpath and a sign on the entrance to the lane.
