On a whim we purchased tickets to the KC Jass Symphony "Summery in the City" for our 25th wedding anniversary in KC. It was an awesome show. Beautiful venue too.

We went to the Music of Michael Jackson on a Friday night. The venue is awesome. Very beautiful. Perfect to take a date or a night out with your spouse. We had seats in the balcony, but with the smaller venue, there isn't a bad seat in the house. Very intimate setting. Music was great. The KC Symphony did an incredible job. We would definitely go back. Only Con: Drink prices. Whoa..... And, line for a drink at intermission was super long. We got our as they were chiming the bells to go back.....

I have been to this symphony a few times and have always been amazed at the quality of the music and production. The last performance was playing the soundtrack while showing a movie. My wife who is a music teacher was a little skeptical at 1st but was blown away by the performance. This group is a don't miss for residents and visitors both. Check the schedule as they have something going on most weekends.

What a great idea! We got free tickets for a happy hour concert- perfect “first symphony” experience for my teen and tween. Literally an hour! Amazing musicians, beautiful building- got us in and out quickly Parking is super easy and $10. Ladies- don’t bring a bag that isn’t essentially a small bag. Or you will have to check it. My medium-sized purse had to be checked. Check in and check out was easy though! Great experience! Will visit again!
