Definitely glad we visited the National World War I Museum with my 18 yr old son! As soon as we entered we were greeted by one of the many volunteers in the blue shirts. Our volunteer, Fred, welcomed us and made us feel extremely welcomed! We opted for the audio tour for an additional $5, and glad we did. The... More

We had one day to spend in Kansas City, and chose this due to all the reviews. My wife and I are not big history people, but we still really enjoyed this stop. The building and architecture are gorgeous, and the environment around the memorial was a great place just to sit and relax. The observation tower provides a gorgeous... More

Many people drive past this monument their entire lives without visiting the world's preeminent WWI museum. The stonework is amazing. It is work that you may never see done again. The view from the top is amazing. The displays of military equipment are neat to me, a gulf war veteran. Seeing the equipment they used 100 years ago is fascinating.... More

Very interesting museum with plenty of great displays to see. Takes a good three hours to see if you include going up the tower which provides a great view of Kansas City. Lovely volunteers to assist and provide interesting facts on most exhibits and has very moving films to view.

An amazing look at the resolve of our country to keep it safe and vital in the world. You will be impressed at how ordinary people could turn into warriors to protect and serve, and the inventiveness of America to arm and protect these warriors.

This is truly an inspiring and informative display of history. We spent several hours there, but will need to visit again to absorb more of the information offered.

This is a great place for the WWI enthusiast or anyone just wanting to learn more about that war. There are not many memorials around the US for WWI but this one is of good quality.
