We took my husband's visiting teenage daughters here one afternoon, got coffee and just wandered around for an hour or so. Since I'm from KC, I had been here before, but did not realize that there is a free train exhibit that is always open. We spent most of our time there, marveling at all the elaborate set ups and... Even if you don't "like" science, if you just open your mind there are plenty of activities to experience. Kids, adults, learning and experiencing, enjoying. Very pleasantly surprised!

For the last two weekend the area GIrl Scouts have taken over Science City. The girls and their families loved the interactive exhibits and the Planetarium. So much to see and do for all ages. Give yourself enough time to see everything. I will take my grown children since I failed to bring them as children. Great place to find... More

We loved the time we spent at science city last week. We loved all the hands on exhibits. My son's favorite things were the sky bike, illusion hall and reptile house. We spent about 4 hours in all. And the time just flew by.

We love this place, we often stop in on a Saturday and just last week my child had his 4th birthday here. Lots to do!

My children had a great time at Science City. I would say that the ideal age is 7-11 years old. Very hands-on and lots of different ways to appreciate science. My son's favorite exhibit was the water exhibit!

I have read that virtually every service man that had to travel during WWII passed through Kansas City's Union Station at one time or another during their enlistment. Union Station is gorgeous and literally breathtaking when you first walk through the doors! Beautifully decorated and painted. And bring your camera! Lots of photo opportunities! There are also some nice restaurants... More
