- GarryBTrentham, United Kingdom328 contributionsWholesome, reasonable quality food. The premise of a restaurant at a brewery is great, and indeed the ale was great! Food-wise, it was wholesome enough with a good beefburger and Katsu chicken burger. The chips were not especially good. The restaurant is more cafe than bistro/restaurant-like. A coach party arrived whilst we were there changing the wholesome dynamic. The staff were pleasant throughout, and it is certainly popular, which says something!Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 April 2023
- Richard ACumbria, United Kingdom87 contributionsVery impressed and filling.I thought it was just the Ennerdale brewery and an outlet shop. I was wrong. First place I have been excited to have found in a while. Loved it. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, the sloped ceiling and decour. But most importantly the food. The pies were fresh, full of filling and not too much pastry. The chips and gravy were amazing and the vegetables perfectly cooked and fresh. Plus a good choice of Ennerdale beer. My only complaint is the Dark was not on, hopefully next time. I will be coming back and looking forward to it.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 July 2023

Lovely vibe, nice staff, happy customers. A super craft ale stop off. It would be even better without the plastic hanging from the ceiling and if it could somehow make the most of the fell and riverside views. For example, the plot behind is for sale. If the brewery owned it, the beer garden could be opened up to give customers a view of the lovely meadow and riverside trees behind - currently beautiful with hawthorne blossom and buttercups. I would like to see organic wine too and palm-oil free snacks.

Nice family meal. All food eaten and clean plates
My personal disappointment was the available drinks as a strongbow drinker, none avail. Normal lager

Stopped off at the Ennerdale Brewery during cycle ride for a “refuel”
Spacious, light, large cafe / bar.
I had the full English which was restaurant standard, was excellent.
There is a large selection of their own beers which are very popular locally but as we were cycling, chose to abstain.
Service was also very quick, staff very attentive.
Would totally recommend.

Is the bar and cafe part of the Brewery dog friendly?

Yes it is dog friendly. They have a water bowl and usually dog treats (unless they have ran out!)
