Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clearly not in the same league as Iguasu these are delightful falls. You can view them from q distance as well as from a viewing platform close by and at the lowest level via access from a lift or steps. It's good that you can get close up to feel the spray from the thunderous main fall. There's also a nice little cafe that serves excellent empanadas.

Close to the town and cheap by bus or taxi! We got there at 8.30, had the whole place to ourselves. Get there early to watch the swallows darting in and out of the rocks. Nice cafe when your done. Away from mass tourists! Bonus!

If you are nearby Ciudad del Este, the Paraguayan three borders’ city, don’t miss it !
Very easy to reach, it’s at 5 min of Presidente Franco center.
This wonderful natural attraction is hidden at the end of a peaceful park.

We went to these falls during a day trip to Paraguay whilst staying in Foz Iguacu to see the Falls there. Though not as big and awesome, these Falls were still impressive and well worth the visit especially given that there was virtually no one else there when we visited.

Saltos del Monday is one of the most impressive waterfalls you'll come across in South America!
We took a bus from town centre which dropped us about 5 blocks away (10 minutes walk to the entrance).
The entrance costs $6.00 or 35,000 Gs per person (foreigners). You then pay an extra 20,000 Gs for the lift to go down to the bottom platform if you want to.
The waterfall is so powerful you can find yourself watching it with awe for half an hour or so.
Highly recommended

If you are visiting Foz Do Iguacu, it is very worth it to make a daytrip to Pararguay,
cross the border from Foz to Ciudad del Este, and from there, you can take a taxi or bus to Saltos del Monday. We have walked over the bridge to Paraguay, but you can easaly take a bus that leaves from the busstation in Foz.
The waterfall is of course not as spectacular as the Foz Iguacu falls, but sure worth an visit. Best to do this one first, before you visit the big Iguacu falls.
When we were there, we were all by ourself in the park, Its quite amazing

These falls are amazing. My father in law owns a house about a thousand feet from here. You can sit on his front porch and see the mist rise from the forest and hear the rush of the water. It is a beautiful place to spend a few hours. If it were not for Igauzu falls on the other side of the Brazilian boarder, these would be world renown.

This is a spectacular waterfall in its own right, and well worth the visit (particularily if you want to bypass the crowds at Iguaçu, which are around 25 km away) . It is set in a small park with walking paths, toilets + cafe/kiosk (which accepts both Brazilian + Argentinean currency). They appear to be constructing an elevator to the bottom of the falls when I was there, the top deck of which provided an additional platform to view the falls

These falls are lovely and during the rainy season in Paraguay were spectacular to see.
I know that a lot of Paraguay tour books or guides compare these falls to Iguazu, the Brazilian / Argentinian fall, BUT these are not in Brazil nor Argentina. And to compare them seems a bit snide to what are very nice falls in their own rights.
Entry was $5 for foreigners I think. Which is ok as you can see the improvements they are making with the entry fee.
Nice hour seeing a lovely fall.

Went to these falls which are very nice. 240 foot drop. Unfortunatley you don´t see the entire drop due to trees, etc... Stopped on the way back to town at the 3 corners area where the 3 countries come together.
