Great piece if history. Loved seeing the house. It's conveniently located and and a good piece of history.

So if you are in St. Joseph you have to stop to see the bullet hole, but that's about it here. There are some other good artifacts here, but this is just a small little stop to learn a little about Jesse James--or at least how he died.

This was fun. Small but interesting. The gentleman at the front was very friendly and willing to answer questions. It's not a huge site for hours to spend there, but it is well worth a visit.

We decided on spur of the moment to go. It was very interesting. Worker was very knowledgeable. History buffs should definitely stop here! Many real life artifacts.

I made a trip out to western Missouri to visit sites associated with the James gang and this museum was a must-see for me. Lots of interesting things to see and read, plus the odd feeling of standing in the exact room where Jesse was killed in 1882. I would recommend reading up on the story of Jesse James beforehand... My wife and I paid a visit to the home of Jesse James where he was murdered, this is a neat but little home, I liked looking at the hole in the wall that the bullet went through, the wood floor, two of the original chairs, and a 44 pistol that looked like the gun that killed Jesse, Bring your... We visited the museum on our way through the Kansas City area and it was well worth it. A lot of history in the house with tons of photos and relics. The shot in the wall was cool to see even though throughout the years people have dug out part of it being stupid. I think we paid $9 a... More

Great visit. We had just watched a TV special about the James brothers and it was very accurate in its presentation.

The museum small but it is a very educating place to visit!! You need to take your time and read everything that's on the walls. There is information you thought you knew but you will learn a lot more!! Staff is very friendly and informative, small gift shop. After the museum you'll have to take a short walk on a... More

If you're going to the Patee House Museum, you might as well go around to the back and visit the Jesse James Home Museum as well. It's a separate entrance fee ($4, I think), but it's worth it for the amount of information they pack in there. It's only four rooms, but just seeing the place where he was shot... More
