Spent the day at the St Louis Zoo seeing many zoo classics: elephants, rhinos, giraffe, apes and zebra. It's a high quality place and was obviously popular. We just saw the main parts and there is a sea lion show, Safari tour that cost extra....More

I only spent about half an hour in the zoo but thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I particularly enjoyed being able to watch the hippos in their natural environment under water.

The animals were basically non-existent. Some were out but there was a lot of construction and many of the displays didn’t contain animals. Even the children’s museum wasn’t open! Poor planning if you ask me. Who doesn’t have the children’s museum open during fall break...More

The St. Louis Zoo has no admission charge! The habitats are well planned and maintained. This is a great place for kids of all ages with well paved pathways for wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and everyone.

Went here again on a family trip to St. Louis. My favorite is the penguin exhibit. So bright and cheerful. The one bad thing about the zoo however is that the indoor primate exhibits smell really bad. But that wouldn't prevent me from going to...More

Calling it a Zoo does not do The Saint Louis Zoological Park justice. The animals are thoughtfully displayed with a focus on both conservation (limiting plastic bags in the ocean) and education (local mammals). Everyone in your family will have a different favorite exhibit. There...More

I have family in St. Louis and we always try to get the kids to the zoo when we visit. First of all, it's free! Zoos near us are at least $15 per person. It's easy to navigate and has tons of animals to see....More

There is a lot to see at the zoo. A shorter sunnier day may be preferred.
