This is NOT free, but not outrageous. Definitely would be worth the price in the spring, summer or fall, but a little spendy in winter. I don't think they should have charged the extra $5 per for the orchids, but so glad we saw them. They were worth the entrance fees. Most of the garden was not worth all the... More

The Botanical Garden features many different activities available year round. Even in the winter, the Garden Glow is a must see! The price is a little high for STL and the parking can be tricky. Purchase your tickets in advance if planning a visit, they sell out on occasion.

Went to the gardens over the Christmas holiday for the Christmas light display. Great date night activity! The crowds were big, but the grounds are large enough to accommodate them all. Lots of fun!!

This is one of the premier botanical gardens in the world. Every season there are amazing new plantings and exhibits. The research that is done is world class. If you can visit one place in St. Louis this is it!

The Botanical Garden is worth a visit any time of year. There is always something to see. My favorites are spring when the azaleas are blooming, spring when the cherry trees are blooming, fall when the chrysanthemums are blooming, and Christmas when the train is up.

From the first weekend in February until mid March many of the garden's flowering orchids are on display. If you go the first weekend, several area orchid societies also have a show and sale. This is a chance to see a great variety of orchids. Many plants for sale in the gift shop too.
