I don’t get it
Jul 2021
Good luck finding parking, and seems like all employees in every store is rude. Not sure if they are over worked or what but I think I won’t be back. 3rd time wasn’t a charm.

Not what it used to be

Dirty. Don't feel safe. It's definitely gone downhill over time. Sad to say but I won't be hanging out there regularly any time soon.

Kinda over rated

It was OK and there were a few decent shops but thought it was much bigger and more unique. A few good places selling local art and quality stuff. The food scene was limited.

Too Unsafe. Spend your money somewhere else
Jan 2020 • Family
What’s bad is that you need to be Extra Cautious walking on Delmar Blvd!
OR AVOID IT and the businesses!

Especially in the evening or dusk hours. It is possible to be a target for Unruly, uncivilized groups of young people maliciously going after law abiding citizens minding their own business.
Last night, a group of young adults went after people , hitting them. This was Unprovoked!

Daily Nightly POLICE presence is needed! Beware!

Photo with Chuck Berry and food in the Blueberry Hill diner!
Sep 2019
Drove up to the Loop as highly recommended by the locals and not disappointed. Ok, so the photo was at his oversize statue
as we walked along Demare Boulevard, the old bowling alley, the Blueberry Hill diner all very nostalgic. Parking easy and cheap. A great place to spend some hours, nightime is even better we hear!

One of the 10 great streets in America
Oct 2019
The Delmar Loop, or simply The Loop as it is known to most St. Louis residents, is a popular and thriving entertainment, cultural and restaurant district in University City, Missouri, and adjoining western edge of St. Louis near Washington University and Forest Park. It is to St. Louis what Music Row is to Nashville, what Beale Street is to Memphis, what Bourbon Street is to New Orleans. In 2007, the American Planning Association named the Delmar Loop "one of the 10 great streets in America." What are you looking for? You'll find it in the Delmar Loop. Major attractions include The Pageant music venue for rap, rock and country music, the three-screen Tivoli Theatre, Blueberry Hill pub and restaurant, Fitz's restaurant and bottling company, Moonrise Hotel, 560 Music Center, Salt & Smoke restaurant, Subterranean Books, Pin-Up Bowl, University City's City Hall, University City Public Library, COCA Center for Creative Arts, Peacock Loop Diner, Al-Tarboush deli, Gyro House, Seoul Taco Korean Tacos and the St. Louis Walk of Fame, a series of brass plaques embedded in the sidewalk along Delmar Boulevard commemorating famous St. Louisans, including musicians Chuck Berry, Miles Davis and Tina Turner, actor John Goodman and bridge builder James Eads, even sexologists Masters and Johnson. The Loop attracts an eclectic clientele and a wide variety of street life. It's never dull on Delmar.

We headed here after visiting the Cathedral to see the shops and get something to eat. Nice area and pleasant to walk up and down the street. Worth a stop.Site of the Walk of Fame.
