A nice respite from the heat and crowds
Jul 2021
After touring the Arch area on a hot, humid day, I needed a place to rest and cool down. The Morgan Street Brewery certainly qualified. It is perhaps a five minute walk north of the Arch. I had two respectable IPA's and sat in comfort and relative quiet at the bar. My bartender was nice and helpful. The brewery is quite attractive. If I return to St Louis, I will definitely visit Morgan Street again.

Nice Outdoor Dining
May 2019 • Family
We were three adults and two boys (13,8). Three of us wanted the ribs, but they were out of ribs (at 6:00 on a Sunday?). We made other choices with the help of our very accommodating waitress. She also gave us some beer samples and sauce samples since I wanted to be sure the boys liked their choices before we ordered and wasted. Sitting outside was wonderful since it’s in the heart of LaCledes Landing. The boys crossed the street to look at the wax museum window while we waited for our food (which took at least 25 minutes). The restaurant also has plenty of inside seating and a very nice bar. Moderate pricing.

Some nice beer 🍺 why not.

After having been blown away by the size of the arch end up in Laclede’s Landing (a quaint historical north downtown area). Had the Pilsner which was nice easy drinking. And then sampled the dark Doppelbock which was surprisingly very good for a dark beer 🍻

Enjoyable Lunch
Sep 2018 • Couples
My wide and I had just toured the new Arch Museum and wandered over to Laclede Landing for lunch. Sorry to say this area is just a shell of what it once was in the 80s.
Never the less we had a very nice lunch at Morgan Street. Service was good and our drinks and appetizer brought immediately. Once our order was taken we had 2-3 people watching over us and delivering food or refilling glasses.
The cheese bread was good, hot and gooey. We split a Greek salad which was very good, loaded with olives and feta cheese.
My wife had the salmon sandwich. Nice piece of fish fixed to perfection.
I had the Reuben sandwich which was on the thin side but the taste was terrific. It was accompanied by waffle cut fries which were exceptional.
It was cool enough so we enjoyed sitting outside in the shade talking and watching people.

Casual dining

It’s a limited menu for a brewery but food and location is great. We had burgers and they were all good. Beer was good too. Service was fine but we were there between rushes so it was pretty slow!

Beer isn’t that good
Dec 2017 • Family
Spent a couple of hours here waiting as the family went up the arch. The two of us tried the Black Bear, Brown Bear, Marzen and the lighter wheat beer. Honestly, they are really not very good. We did not have food, so cannot comment there. The staff was very friendly.

Great Lunch!

Stumbled on this place looking for lunch after a trip up the Arch. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The beer is good too.

Really good beer

I loved the honey wheat beer and also the honey wheat beer cheese dip with soft pretzels! The "coney" (spelling?) style potatoes were like a fried mashed potato and scrumptious.

Quite OK
Sep 2016 • Couples
A brewpub in the center of St. Louis, quite close to the Gateway Arch. They had 6 beers on taps: 5 lagers and an IPA. Black Bear was surprisingly good but IPA was not that great. Everything was quite OK there but nothing else. No wifi.

Great Food and Excellent Service
Apr 2017 • Family
I visited with my two daughters. Prices on kids menu were excellent! This is near the arch. The beer prices are great and the choices from the brewery are good. I had hummus with pita chips and it was delicious and tasted like it was freshly made. Also had crab cake with an aioli on a bed of coleslaw. It was good. House dressing on my salad was just ok. The atmosphere is super cool with the open beams and natural woodwork.

The only criticism I would have is the bathroom looked like something I'd seen in my college days. It was just dingy.

Overall, though, great place to eat.
