Located in beautiful, historic Forest Park, the Saint Louis Art Museum hosts a world-class collection of art works and artifacts in one of the most impressive buildings in the city. The Museum recently completed a major expansion project, adding 21 new galleries for both collection and temporary exhibitions. Admission to the Museum is free every day, and admission to special exhibitions is free on Fridays.

The art is wonderful but the layout on three levels is confusing even if there wasn't construction. I know they pay people to lay things out but they didn't get their monies worth.

My husband and I aren’t art aficionados but we know the “big” names and thought it was fun to see them up close and personal! This is worth a quick trip or a longer trip if it’s “your thing”

I was blown away by the quality of this museum and it's free! The building alone is worth the visit. I'm so glad we spent a day here.

A relaxing all day activity especially with good weather. The zoo design is nice. It was clean and well taken care of. Seem like all exhibits offered multiple viewing areas and several had comfortable seating for longer viewing. We enjoyed sitting and watching the monkeys...More

Free! And expansive. Can take an hour, two or . . . depending on you. On site cafe & restaurant. Cafe - meh. Restaurant - $$ Boathouse just a short walk away a good option.
